Use Garden Safe Brand Diatomaceous Earth Crawling Insect Killer for organic gardening. The formula kills listed insects by contact, including German cockroaches, ants,* beetles,** fleas, mealybugs and other listed crawling insects. Use outdoors on plants and on the soil around plants to kill listed crawling insects by contact. When dusted on insects, the fine/powdery granules coat their exoskeletons and absorb oils and fats, causing them to dry out and die. The granules also cut into insects’ outer skeletons, causing them to dehydrate further. Always read the entire label and follow all directions and precautions. *Except carpenter, harvester and pharaoh ants **Except wood-destroying beetles.

Review: Best treatment for fleas! - I'm going to be honest, i got this for a flea problem in my house and it worked like a charm. It is completely pretty safe. Dust the dog with it. Put it on every surface in your house. It had a very faint dust smell. Powder is very very fine, to the point i can't stop sneezing, but it's worth it. The dust cuts up fleas like rolling them in broken glass. A week or less of powder and fleas are gone. Super cheap, safe, easy to use. Try it.

The powder is made up of crushed, sharp fossilized remains of algae and diatoms making it a chemical and synthetic free pest treatment. For “soft bodied” insects (like ants), any contact with the powder is akin to walking on broken glass that kills them. The DE comes in a decent size bag at a whopping 4 pounds that’s guaranteed to cover a lot of real estate and can be liberally applied to your yard without worry of running out. It does not smell, and it does not stain. Applicator is not included. For the applicator, I usually keep on hand a couple of old Kinder’s BBQ Sauce bottles. They are easy to clean, labels peel straight off without resistance, they have a wide neck for filling and is easy to squeeze as a sprayer. -You could also use a cheap turkey baster. For my problem, I simply sprinkled DE around the areas where the ants live and around each vegetable pot to take care of earwigs, beetles, tomato hornworms and army worms. As far as ants hills go, this is not an instant kill or kill on contact solution like Raid, so be patient. It took a little over 2 days and another dose of DE to completely rid the enclosure of ants. They are now permanently gone and have not moved back into the front yard. By the way, watch out for the wind when applying. Areas with flowering plants that usually have pollinators or attract bees, lady bugs, butterflies etc. need to be avoided as DE does not differentiate between good beneficial insects and bad ones. Since they are also soft bodied, this stuff will kill them. Just saying. Hopefully the ants have moved on to the back lot & I’m fine with that. This has worked for my ant and earwig problem. As for the tomato horn worm and army worms, they still take less time to identify and kill manually. **Q: Does anyone know what the other 15% of ingredients is/are? Is that legal to only tell us what 85% is and not tell us the rest?**
A: Thank you for your question. The product that we sell is 100% diatomaceous earth, which contains 85% silicon dioxide (which is the “active ingredient”) and 15% other minerals.  The percentage breakdown is simply an EPA regulation that we comply with, but our diatomaceous product is natural, placed in the bag as is from where it is mined.

I'm going to be honest, i got this for a flea problem in my house and it worked like a charm. It is completely pretty safe. Dust the dog with it. Put it on every surface in your house. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent natural solution that actually works

I was first recommended diatomaceous earth by a few parents in my homeschool group after we moved into a new home and quickly discovered we had a major ant problem. Our entire yard seemed to be home to every kind of ant imaginable—red ants, black ants, tiny ones, large ones—literally everywhere. I completely understand that ants are part of the ecosystem, and I don’t mind them being in the yard or garden. The problem was when they started coming into the house. With two small children, there are always crumbs here and there no matter how careful we are, and the ants were just relentless indoors. We tried hiring an exterminator, which cost us around $300–$400, and while it worked temporarily, the ants were back within about six months. That’s when I decided to try diatomaceous earth instead. We started applying it in discreet areas around the house and problem spots, and honestly, it has worked wonders. It has been far more effective for us than the professional treatment we paid for. The difference is that with this, we can reapply as needed and stay on top of the problem ourselves.
