My usual size is 8M which is what I purchased. Not willing to pay to return, I'll keep these. Hoping they loosen up with wear. Even my thinnest socks didn't work. I will have to wear sheer nylon ankle socks and even at they will be tight. Definitely size up if you are considering and do not usually purchase shoes in Narrow. Edit: with nylon-thin socks and a little wear these became more comfortable. I also kept a shoe former covered with a sock to try to stretch them a little between wearings.
