A: It works well on single plasterboard I haven't try it on anything else the magnet is very strong and the tool itself is very good

The magnet in this is incredibly strong. So much so that running it across a stud wall will reveal where the screws are and does a far better job that the budget and pro Bosch stud finder I have. It is also great at drawing wires through a wall.

I was on the verge of calling in a handyman to do this work, but I saw this and the strong magnets worked like a charm! I now have a way to pull TV cables through the plaster wall without needing to cut open the wall. Much cheaper than getting help!
