I'm 6'1 and now hovering around 210 lbs, and total hit or miss when looking for a perfect fit.38's sometimes fit, sometimes too big. 36's either fit or too tight. I've had several pairs of Dickies, in various sizes, and have had good luck in general.This new cargo short in 36 is perfect for me. Unique, light material is very cool and comfortable. Best part is they look sharp for a cargo short without looking like your carrying around a months worth of change in your pockets, which I've found to be the problem in appearance with most cargo shorts. A slimmer, sleeker short, without big, buttoned flaps on every pocket is what I was looking for and finally found in this pair of cargo shorts. Got three pairs. The material and texture seems to make the colors stand out boldly somehow too. Might not be for everyone, but just what I wanted. Normally wear a 36-38. Got this in a 40, they fit like smaller sizes in other brands. For example, they don't fall down without a belt, even though they are about two sizes bigger than what I wear in most brands. I don't plan or working more than 5 more years until retiring. The material seems lightweight but very durable, even somewhat abrasive. I bet you can walk through briars with these shorts and survive fairly well. Only 3 stars because they are very long and I need to shorten them so they look and fit better. Not a big deal but adds to the price. Pockets are deep and rugged and should be very useful. I expect these shorts to last a long time like all the pants I have made by Dickies. Not sure if I would buy again though.
