I am not familiar with sound at all and since this is something that is set up where you complete lessons as you read the book, I thought that this would give me a great deal of hands on experience and hoped that I would be efficient in an audio program after reading and using this book. There were quite a few terms and techniques in the book that catered to students with a background in audio. Since I was not familiar with a lot of the terminology, I had to get a great deal of extra help from my professor. I suggest that if you don't already have a fundamental knowledge of audio but want to learn in a hands on way, you should purchase supplemental reading material so that you truly gain a good understanding from this book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Too long of an allotted delivery time frame, Need to shorten it to entice customers to buy from seller. *by M***D on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2013* The book may have been damaged a little along the spine upon shipping and delivery but it's still usable. It's seems to be in new condition otherwise. I did take a while for the book to leave the first facility. I was expecting the batch of books which included this one to have arrived much later, but I was wrong. It may arrived last of all the books I've ordered for this term, but it was delivered well ahead of schedule. I was worried I wouldn't have the text in time for class if they delivered within their allotted time frame for delivery. Overall, I was satisfied. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Starter (PLUS) Book! *by B***D on Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2014* I have learned quite a bit from this book, the only one available to far. Unfortunately, some material is left out. That's not the fault of the authors; this program, like so many of the Adobe CC programs is so feature rich that the book would probably grow to an unmanageable size and probably cost as well.
