WWE 2K17 - Xbox One

Better than WWE 2k16 so that makes it worth it to me but if you have 2k16 and are expecting a completely new game then stick with 2k16. List of new things: *Backstage brawl - Great addition. Makes matches more enjoyable to play. Hopefully we will see more areas added to the back soon. *Crowd fighting - Another good addition. Makes matches more unpredictable. *NO SHOWCASE - 2k didn't make a showcase this year and decided to make MyCareer and Universe Mode better *Better Universe mode - As someone who played 95% Universe mode in 2k16 this is great. Christmas present for my son and of course, HE LOVES IT! I'll have to admit, I play it all the time as well but not because I'm a huge WWE fan, I love to create new characters, their entrance music and look, create teams and so much more. It's loads of fun creating characters for all your family members and then have them wrestle. Better than having them do it live.

This game is fun. I like that I was able to play with my sons and not get totally spanked by them like what happens in most Xbox games I try to play with them. I like being able to unlock some of the classic characters of wwe (wwf) like the ultimate warrior and macho man. I was sad to see that Hulk Hogan was missing.

Good game

Career mode is incredibly repetitive. I've been stuck in a feud with Tyson Kidd since week 2, for over 6 months. I can't seem to move up past "9" in the title contendership. I played for about 2 days, and just haven't wanted to pick it up again due to this. :( I figure once I try a few more of the games I bought recently, I'll sit down and finish the first year or so of the Career mode, and when I do I'll resubmit this review. But for now, it's Pokemon Sun getting my attention

WARNING: If you buy this for your significant other/fiance, they will suddenly start wanting you to watch older WWE matches, or subscribing to the WWE Network and forcing you to watch RAW, the Royal Rumble, and Wrestlemania. They will preface this as a "bonding" experience and will begin to tell you stories about their childhood and educate you on older wrestlers like Rick Flair, Randy Savage, The Hulk, Andre the Giant, et al (It's Sting, in the Rafters!). You will find yourself randomly going "WOOOOO!!" like Rick Flair and calling people "Brother." If you value your sanity and have any hopes of avoiding having wrestling in your life, avoid this game.

If you've played a 2k wrestling game, you know what to expect. Women look better (except Dana who is ghastly) and impressive roster. Best improvement for me is the interface and speed of everything. Took FOREVER to make creations last year but everything loads much faster this year. I've made 5X the wrestlers in one month with this game than I did a year of the old game. Is it worth 60 bucks? Arguable but if you enjoy wrestling games it is definitely worth the price of admission when on sale.
