Inconsistent
The first time we ordered it was great. This time has not been the case. Half of the product was unusable... the food was hard or spoiled. We've had to throw away several items.

Simple and Few Ingredients with No Preservatives - More Vegetable Heavy with Some Meat
The Earth's Best Protein Jars are a convenient and healthy set of meals that include small amounts of protein to introduce to your babies. While most people will be purchasing these meals for their babies, I actually got these for a different reason - my 14 year old Papillon. As dogs get older, eating becomes more difficult for them, and I occasionally offer up baby food as an emergency food as they're nutrient dense, are limited in ingredients, and are generally more appealing to dogs - most likely because it's not full of filler or other ingredients like dog food is. However, it is not a substitute for specially formulated pet food blends or homemade pet meals - I use it for emergency "my dog refuses to eat" moments only. The Earth's Best baby food has a smoothly blended texture that is a bit more firm than Stage 1 food. There are no big chunks in it like Stage 3 food, but it's not liquidy like applesauce - it's more like a very soft sweet potato in texture. There are three varieties included in this pack including:Chicken and Rice: Water, Butternut Squash Puree, Organic Ground Chicken, Organic Corn, Organic Whole Grain Rice Flour.Sweet Potato and Chicken: Organic Sweet Potato, Water, Organic Brown Rice Flour, Organic Apricot Puree Concentrate, Organic Ground ChickenVegetable Turkey Dinner: Water, Organic Carrots, Organic Apple Puree Concentrate, Organic Ground Turkey, Organic Barley FlourThe foods didn't cause any type of digestive distress and were actually quite pleasantly flavored - I could taste the flavors of the meats in each jar and while it's present, the meals are still not quite protein heavy. As the ingredients show, the first few ingredients are vegetable and fruit based so that the meals shouldn't upset your babie's tummies. As for the dog, because the first few ingredients are fruit and vegetable based, the meals were more gentle on his stomach. All of the jars arrived well sealed and very securely packaged in a sturdy fitted cardboard box. Overall, it's a good value for high quality organic baby food.

Same great food
Earth's Best is some very good baby food. My little one loves all the different varieties that Earth's Best has come out with. He really loves the Chicken & Rice. He will gobble those down in a hurry. The other two he finds just okay and it takes him a lot longer to finish off. These jars are a little more expensive than what I can get at my local grocery store. One thing I really don't like about these jars is that the lid of the jars doesn't screw on very well. The threads and the lid are very hard to line up and it always seems to take longer than it should. Overall, I give them just an okay rating because the food is great, but the cost is more on the expensive side along with the nonfunctioning lids.

I’m 50/50 with this company
This is officially my first Amazon review because I usually don’t review but I feel I should in this case. These jars are GREAT for the vegetable and fruits but the meats, NO NO NO. The chicken and rice is totally not edible. It’s clumpy hard and has some sort of jelly texture to it. I don’t think that the product is bad itself, I think that there formula is off when manufacturing the chicken and the jarring. The turkey veggie one is perfectly fine! It’s all the chicken ones!
