Antique Style World Wall Map (Wall Map, Laminated) (Illustrated World Map) (Map)

I've owned quite a few world maps throughout the years, and this one has been my favorite. There are three salient aspects of the map which I love:1. The off-white - almost "aged" - pigment of the oceans.2. The decision to display the map as a Lenticular projection.3. There are beautiful sailing ships, circa 1588, which mark the world's seas.This map is of thick, sturdy, resilient material, and the colors appear vibrant in my den. I highly recommend it.

I liked the look of this map, but was a little sceptical on how it would actually look in full size. I was definitely not disappointed! It is a beautiful looking map with tons of character and an antique feel. The lamination is very light and the poster can still be rolled relatively easily, this doesn't bother me and will still allow me to hang it in a large frame. I love this map!Very happy with this purchase, thanks Amazon!

We purchased this map for our Airbnb studio, so guests could pin their home city. We needed one that fitted a frame we currently owned and this fitted the bill perfectly. The map looks great in the studio, and adds a talking piece for the guests. They love seeing were other people have come from, and 'pinning' their own home town. Came well wrapped in a plastic sleeve and packaged in a box to protect it from damage. However, be warned as others have stated, it is not really laminated, more like printed on thick glossy paper. But for our purposes this works great. We did get the wrong item shipped originally, but Amazon fixed the issue quickly and easily, and the replacement arrived within two days.

This map is really nice. I looked through a lot of maps and couldn't find any that had such an interesting and eye-catching design as this one. It's a fun alternative to the standard classroom-looking map and has intricate illustrations surrounding the border. I bought a large frame from the local craft store and this map fit well inside of it (it was very slightly too big for the largest frame available but I just folded it a tiny bit and it fit just fine). Now the map is hanging above my bed and my fiancée and I put little dots on the places we've traveled to together. It's a great decoration for your home - we get compliments on it a lot. Highly recommend!
