Works on electronics
Stopped scratchy volume knob on a few radios, helped connections on a few auto computers, cleaned connections for better contact. A good product that is not a bathroom deodorizer so smell is irrelevant. You want a product that works and this does the job and in my experience will not harm electronics. As for safety if you have to ask what its for then maybe you should not be using it. Cant fix ignorance, LOL

Terrific for corroded contacts and electrical terminals!
Amazing product! I used this on a fuse box and computer module that had been getting repeatedly wet on a 2008 BMW 328I that had been sitting for 2 years. When sprayed on the corroded terminals, it foamed up and seemed to virtually remove all of the white corrosion that had formed. Also, it seemed to leave a light oil residue that I'll bet will prevent future corrosion. I'm sold on this stuff and it is well worth the $15-$20 for a small can. Very impressed!

Miracle Cleaner!
Made my old receiver sound like new! My old Sony Receiver was sounding terrible. The volume and balance knobs had a lot of static and weren’t adjusting correctly and I really thought the receiver was just too old to fix. I happened to read a few reviews about this cleaner and figured I would give it a try before I shopped around for another vintage receiver. When it arrived today, I simply removed the cover to expose the inside and located each knob from the inside and just sprayed a little on each location and turned each knob back and forth a few times. I let the cleaner dry for a few minutes and reinstalled the cover. I turned it on and could not believe how good it sounded. I absolutely cannot believe that this completely fixed my receiver. It sounds as good as new and couldn’t be happier. You have got to try this on your vintage electronics. You will not be disappointed.

Nozzle straw didn't fit, but the cleaner worked fine
Great product, but lousy packaging. The cap was surprisingly difficult to remove, almost to the point of crushing the plastic. The spray straw didn't fit the nozzle. I had to ream the nozzle hole and scrape down the end of the straw to insert it into the spray nozzle. Way too big of a hassle. The product worked well and saved me from replacing a switch that was intermittent.

This stuff Workd!
This product saved two of my neglected guitar amplifiers. as pictured, I put a tube of clear hose that fits tightly over the thread then squirted this wonder juice while using a screwdriver to move back and forth, I could feel the potentiometer getting free and easy moving, doing all 10 dials then with compressed air blowing out any moisture crossed my fingers and WOW now the amp works perfectly no scratchy noise! for good measure I cleaned the plug-in with cotton swab

Magic in a can
This stuff is amazing. We use it for electrical connections on our Peterbilts and other electronics. I've seen this solve signal issues on can-bus systems and ABS systems with using nothing else. I don't know how it works but it does. I will caution to keep it away from certain rubbers. I've seen it swell o-rings used on our ABS sensor connectors but that's the only issue I've ever had with it. It's expensive for what you get but a little goes a long ways and it actually works unlike some other snake oils out there. Highly recommend giving it a shot. It's also great for 7-way plugs that are acting up. If you have a plug cleaner brush and this stuff its even better.

Instant results great product
I needed to clean out a pot on my new guitar. As I was looking around for the right cleaner, I found several lower cost products than this. After looking at sites like Guitar Center, Sweetwater, and Stew Mac I chose the Deoxit. I would like to point out a few great things about this product because other reviews aren't very accurate. The straw fits in the center hole of the spray cap, but it is a very tight fit. The spray can be controlled and doesn't just go everywhere. The top of the can has three indicators L, M, H. moving the nozzle to the L position released just enough to get into the pot without getting all over the finish. After working the solution in for about a minute I tested the guitar, and the pot works great. For anyone that has crackling pots, this is amazing.

I first encountered Deoxit when editing a music magazine. The distributing company sent out a sample kit. I promptly took it home and attacked my old NAD 2020, a Norwegian designed and Chinese built integrated amp for our stereo system, vintage....1976 no less. I'd pushed the NAD aside for a couple of years because every single pot, knob, any moving object that adjusted the sound had gone terribly bad. The loud rude noises and fire cracker crackles sometimes got the dog jumping from his repose on the couch. With one treatment with spray and some wipes, and not having to go inside the unit....did it all from the outside....it totally cleared up all the problems: made pots, knobs, sliders, etc, easy to set in motion. Eliminated completely any noise: snap, crackles, pops. Completely. Only recently, ten years later, has one of the knobs exhibited any noise. You spend a little more on Deoxit but it saves you big time. The next occasion was a few weeks ago and purchasing the Hosa Deoxit spray from Amazon.ca for a problem in my home studio. Similar results, perhaps not as dramatic, but the deal is this: it cleans and clears anything out of the way of the audio signal path. With no impediments, no sludge or oxidized soldering jobs, connections, etc the result is better, fuller, clearer sound devoid of those snaps, crackles, etc. Follow directions. Do not use and operate a motor vehicle. Seeing if you're alert. Tbw

I thoroughly read the customer's reviews. One by one. It was crucial to be sure the product won't affect wrongly my Akai Receiver AA-R30, which has been working for us more than 45 years. Our technician was excited to test the DeoxIt-2 Contact spray. He and us are so delighted to enjoy back again our Receiver. We recommend and appreciate this product so much! The seller was very efficient too, dispatching the package the same day! We are truly greatful, my sincerest thanks !!! David S.

Rated by the industry for reviving and cleaning dirty potentiometers or scratchy faders, and any other bad-contacts/switches. This has been the cheapest price i've found online but it is still quite expensive for what it is. Not sure if we are paying for a magic formula or the name. Perhaps there are cheaper alternatives out there but trial and error testing the competition may not be a cost effective experiment.
