Brother pe800 states that it has a 5x7 embroidery field. with the 5x12 hoop, will it use the larger space?

Yes. It works well. You have to "split" your pattern with software. I use "Sew What". The hoop is a repositioning hoop, meaning it will sew the firsat half of your pattern and then you change the position an d it sews the second half

I have the brother se1900 can you use the enlarge hoop

I have been looking for the same answer, but if you go to the brother website and look for the machines accessories they have the large hoop on the list for $129.99 and it states that you can use it to do multiple embroidery without rehooping which you can only do up to a 5 x 7 only. You use the large hoop, if you want to do multiple work on a project; istead of rehooping, you position the needle to go where you need it to go. Like if you're doing a t-shirt and want to embroider a design, but underneath, you want to do a text. Then when you design is done, you position the needle to the lower or upper of your design to do the text, without you having to take the hoop off and do the stabilizer again. It saves you more time and materials having the bigger hoop. I hope I cleared it for you, the machine will take all four.
