Fits perfectly, use duct tape!
This battery is exactly the same size, etc., as the one that came with my garage door opener. It was super easy to put in and now that I’ve had it in use for a month -seamless performance. The hardest part about installing it was actually getting the old battery out since there is nothing to grip and it’s a tight space. After experimenting trying all kinds of skinny tongs and skinny stuff from the garage to try and wiggle it out. I hit a pun a little stroke of MacGyver genius – took a long piece of duct tape and used a table knife to stick it to the top and bottom of the battery then it pulled out very easily. So my new battery already has a piece of tape stuck on it so next time it won’t be so hard to change. 😃

Replacement for Chamberlain garage door opener
I acquired this battery from Mighty Max (model ML5-12 SLA, mfr p/n ML5-122311) for use in my Chamberlain garage door opener that was beeping, beeping, beeping, indicating the battery was worn out. Fortunately the battery door on the opener tells you what battery part number to buy, and it's easy to find options on Amazon. The battery came well-packaged in a tight little box with a piece of polystyrene cut for the terminals, which were capped with plastic covers. Amazon put this in a small box and filled the rest with crumpled paper. This battery replaces one I installed in March 2020, so I got about 4 1/2 years out of that one. This is within the 3 to 5 year estimated lifespan for these batteries. Considering how hot it is most of the time in my south-facing desert garage (many days over 100 degrees every year) that's pretty good performance. Surprisingly I paid about the same for this battery as I did back in March 2020, and about 20% less than the "genuine" Chamberlain battery. The worn out battery was from a different brand, and I have no idea how many actual manufacturers exist for this part (could be one, could be many). In any case, to hold the price about the same almost five years on is impressive, given how prices have increased recently. Installing this thing in the opener is much more challenging than it should be. The most difficult part of the installation is extracting the old battery. On my opener Chamberlain decided not to include any space around the battery to grab it. The opener is bolted to the ceiling so I can't tip it over to spill the battery out. This particular battery is smooth on all sides so there is no way to grab it unless you can get your fingers on opposite sides. I finally settled on adhering some aggressive tape to the battery and hoping it would hold well enough to pull out far enough for me to grab it. Black electrical tape was no help at all, but the metal tape I use for closing up holes on metal ductwork was plenty strong. Extending this idea, since Chamberlain has done you no favors and the battery manufacturer has also ignored it, you can see in the accompanying pictures that I stuck a length of the tape to the battery and created a tab poking out one side. This gives me something to grab the next time I need to replace it. Mighty Max could solve Chamberlain's shortcomings and improve their product by including something like this, or molding in a bar to attach a pull. I realize this battery may be used in other applications with different battery orientation, but there are many ways to solve this problem, and Mighty Max chose none of them. Once removed, it's easy enough to pull the wires off the old battery, install them on the new one, and drive it home, without crushing the wires. The opener beeped just once before realizing it had a fresh battery and has been silent since. Ahhh, silence! So now come the most critical qualities of this device: how well will it perform, and how long will it last? Well, it powers the garage door open and closed when the opener is unplugged, so it performs. Lifetime is unknowable until it dies. There are no indicators on the opener or the battery showing how much battery life remains. There is a battery indicator on the opener panel that's attached to the wall, but it is barely useful. More useful, Chamberlain, would be to include a percentage battery life remaining rather than three gross bars. The only real indication of battery life is that persistent and tenacious beeping when the battery is close to the end. If I get performance similar to the battery I replaced I'll be happy. I need to dispose my old battery safely. I'm thinking I might take it to Walmart or an auto parts store since both of these places sell lead-acid batteries. I could take it to the local hazardous waste collection facility (a 30-mile round trip), but that taxpayer-funded institution charges you to use the service you're already paying for. No, thank you. It's hard to tell where this battery is made. It is marked made in Vietnam, but the box is marked made in Thailand. Which is it? For sure it's not USA, even though Mighty Max is based in New Jersey.

You can easily install this ladies!
Loved it. It was much easier to install. I did it myself and was happy about that. I watched a YouTube video before trying to install. It took about 10 minutes being very careful knowing there was a powder inside the battery. Not a problem. I felt like A Handy Wonan.😀

I bought this to replace Chamberlain 41A6357 battery. Pretty much the same size. It came with some charge and took pretty much a full day to charge up. My garage door opener has stopped beeping so it's been good for about 2 weeks so far

Very good product. Fast delivery. Solved my problem. My original battery from Chamberlain last about 8 years and I wish the replacement can be used for some years to come.
