Worst book in the series

This book was just not good. I have read all of Grant county and the Will Trent books. The author always makes many continuity mistakes, but in general the story keeps me reading. This story was so predictable and not at all written to entertain, but written as a vessle to throw around as many ugly stereotypes as possible: White skin? You're a demon. Brown skin? You'll never succeed. Gay? Everyone will always hate you. Woman? You cant do it, men will always keep you down. White man? You will all be successful just because of the body you were born into.In addition to that, Sara is even more annoying than ever. Who would day dream about sex while they are being held hostage by terrorist? It's just stupid writing. Also, Karin Slaughter, when a song has a similar name as another song, it's not a "version" of that song. Its a completely different song. Sarah Smiles by Panic!ATD is not a "version" of Sara Smile by Hall and Oats. Not to mention the sexy scenes between Sara and Will just keep getting more gross and less sexy.I definitely wont be reading any more of her books.

I Couldn't Read It - Far Too Repetitive

I usually love this author but I couldn't get past the first 100 pages. The chapters are written from Will's point of view and then from Sara's so ended up being extremely repetitive. I ended up skim reading and then just gave up. The chapters are quite long and when you're effectively reading the same thing twice it became boring. I'm not usually one to give up on a book but unfortunately I couldn't carry on with this one.

Very Boring Due to Paragraphs being repeated throughout the first half of the book.

I will be honest here as I am not normally someone who reads ficton but I had run of non-fiction books to read and those on order were not available as yet. Karen Slaughter was recommended to me by my daughter and I thought I would give it a go. I became bored around the Chapter 3 mark when I realised that she was repeating paragraphs and adding a sentence here and there and you don't need that in a book, particularly one with a good plot line, which it had. I did finish it though, because I will not leave a book in the middle. Will I read another of her title's, unfortunately the answer is no.

Back to her Best.

Big fan of Karin Slaughter, however was disappointed with her last book thus a little apprehensive about this one but glad to say, I enjoyed it. I liked the changing point of view employed to tell the story. My only criticism is that there are times when the author goes into a tad too much detail on the subject matter...the science, medicines and even detailing the various right wing associations. It gives the impression that she had done all this intensive research and was hell bent in cramming it all in the book. Sometimes less is more. Still my favourite modern author and I look forward to her next book.

Very disappointing !

Very disappointing book. Have read all her previous books and really enjoyed them. Did not like the writing style of this one at all. Going back over the same time scale from different points of view just made for pointless repetition and just left me bored. I have never taken so long to finish one of her books and it felt like a chore, certainly not a pleasure! I hope she doesn't repeat this format again as it doesn't add to the story at all, quite 5he opposite in fact. The storyline had far too many facts about domestic terrorists/ hate groups, and too much detail about various government departments, which just made for heavy reading and padding.
