I based my purchase off reviews since I don't know the brand and so far I'm happy about it. Some other models had terrible reviews so hopefully this one will last and provide accurate readings for years to come. 3 zones is perfect for me (it's actually 4)... I'm in NJ. I have a remote outside, 1 in the attic and 1 in the basement. The basement tends to get humid in the summer and I have a dehumidifier set to 55% humidity on the other end of the basement and want to know the temp /humidity on the other side to see if I need another dehumidifier. In the attic I noticed on the summer it's 20 degrees more than outside and our summers lately have been 95-100 for about a month. I have to install an attic fan and then I'll be able to see if the fan really moves that much air. The display is pretty, informative and I'm yet to understand how to use the pressure reading. The light/snooze button offers 3 shades of brightness when plugged in. With batteries I believe it uses the lighter 2 shades only and defaults to dark after a few seconds. I placed rechargeable batteries but the manual states not to use them since they are only 1.2v but it's what I had around and only have them in the event the power goes out so nothing resets. The radio frequency clock setting auto set the clock by next morning. Just like the manual states, it took about a half hour for all the remotes to show same temp /humidity but might be off be 2 degrees. Mine were all the same. A few other models didn't have a peg hole to hang them up. This one does and had a stand. I like that a cable route was designed to the back do it can lay flat against the wall. Review: follow start up sequence closely and bind remote to console in same room - this station has every function we were looking for. high / lows temps & humidity . indoor temp & humidity. moon phases, forecasts . calibration modes....very nice case with folding support leg....good screen that can be see across the room. dims nicely and also a screen shut off. and an alarm clock with snooze! the manual is straight forward and in english. the only hic cup was making sure to follow start up sequence closely. bind the remote to the console while in the room at about five to ten feet away. this isn't stated in the manual so we installed the batteries in the remote sensor and walked at outside to hang sensor in place. we waited over nite for the console to recognize the remote. the desire to push buttons was there but the manual states DO NOT PUSH BUTTONS until remote has recognized console. we checked out the remote this morning and faintly remembered reading about other stations needing to be very near the console to bind. brought the remote into the room and presto! instant bind. we scoured the net for a station that had all the goodies...this one has rave reviews...and now we know why. this ambient product is well desiged and exudes quality had great reviews and the osprey station looks like our next upgrade. thanx Ambient! ## Features - Includes 1 diplay console and 1 remote senosr - Predicts weather in the next 24 to 48 hours with reasonable accuracy - Atomic clock supports all 24 time zones around the world, and daylight savings time - Replaces WS-2800, allowing up for 3 remote sensors - AC Adapter included for main unit; sensors each require 2 x AA batteries (not included) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01FID5TIG | | Additional Features | Barometer | | Best Sellers Rank | #89,446 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #187 in Weather Stations | | Brand | Ambient Weather | | Brand Name | Ambient Weather | | Color | Color Display | | Connectivity Technology | Wireless | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 1,208 Reviews | | Display Type | LCD | | Frequency | 433 MHz | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00816982017239 | | Included Components | Power Adapter | | Is Used Where | Indoor, Outdoor | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 1"D x 3.25"W x 6.25"H | | Item Highlight | With Temperature, Humidity and Barometer | | Item Type Name | Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station with Temperature, Humidity and Barometer | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | Manufacturer | Ambient Weather | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model | WS-2800 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | WS-2800 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Recommended Uses For Product | Home | | Sensor Technology | Wireless | | Shape | Rectangular | | Special Feature | Barometer | | Specific Uses For Product | Temperature | | Style Name | 1 console / 1 remote | | Temperature Reading Accuracy | plus_minus_1_degree_celsius | | UPC | 816982017239 | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ambient Weather - **Color:** Color Display - **Connectivity Technology:** Wireless - **Material:** Plastic - **Power Source:** Corded Electric - **Product Dimensions:** 1"D x 3.25"W x 6.25"H - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Home - **Special Feature:** Barometer - **Specific Uses For Product:** Temperature - **Style:** 1 console / 1 remote ## Images ![Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51Cge+RIEUL.jpg) ![Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/11i2hjbRkxL.jpg) ![Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/21nWLpZX1nL.jpg) ![Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Sg5u2I3EL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pretty display, 4 zone thermometer, easy / auto setup *by B***5 on March 30, 2018* I just received this last week. Forecast is more for fun than accuracy. *by N***R on March 30, 2021* WS-2801A I bought this weather station to replace my old WS-1171, which I bought nine years ago. I like the old WS-1171, which still works, but it's remote sensor died and Ambient Weather no longer has replacement sensors for it. The new WS-2801A seemed to have the same features plus a few upgrades: three remote channels, color display, and power adapter. I bought the package with three remote sensors, planning to keep one or two as spares. The color LED display is easier to read, and is dimmable. Temperature, humidity, and air pressure sensors are all quite accurate - I've checked them against standards. And they are adjustable in case readings ever drift. My only disappointment is the forecast feature. It changes the forecast icon when the pressure changes: sun, partly cloudy, cloudy, rain, and stormy. And there is a little indicator called the "Rate of Change of Pressure Graph" which "signifies the difference between the daily average pressure and the 30 day average, in hPa" (1 hPa = 1 mbar). So far I have not found this to be useful - it is not a rate of change, and the "graph" is just a single point showing the days average pressure compared to the monthly average. My old WS-1171 displays a live bar graph showing the pressure over the past 24 hours so I can see how much and how rapidly the pressure is changing. A set amount of pressure change triggers a change in the forecast icon. A larger change triggers a storm warning. Both sensitivity levels are adjustable on my old WS-1171, to accommodate locations having more/fewer or larger/smaller pressure swings (my region has a lot). These features are gone from the WS-2801A. I keep both weather stations to compare the forecasts. They agree about half the time. I'm not sure yet if one is more accurate than the other. Overall I like the new weather station, it does a great job with temperature, humidity, and pressure. The forecast feature might be more accurate in a region where the air pressure is more stable than where I am. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station w/Temperature, Humidity, Barometer - Ambient Weather WH31-SRS Solar Radiation Shield w/Bracket for WH31E, WH31P and WH31L Sensors - Ambient Weather WH32M Sensor for WS-2801 Series Weather Station --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.kr/products/34499437-ambient-weather-ws-2801a-advanced-wireless-color-forecast-station](https://www.desertcart.kr/products/34499437-ambient-weather-ws-2801a-advanced-wireless-color-forecast-station) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Korea* *Store origin: KR* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
