Caused multiple cylinder missfires on VW/Audi 2.0T FSI engine.
Caused multiple cylinder missfires which is a shame as these look high quality and were the closest I could find to the Zex plugs which I have had wonderful experience with however appear to be no longer produced. Was hopping these plugs having similar design would prove worthy however was not the case. Electrode does not protrude far enough into the cylinder for proper combustion and/or due to multiple pathways for the spark in theory creates a weaker spark which jumps around again taking the spark out of optimal location for the proper combustion process to take place. The VW/Audi BPY "FSI" engine by design runs lean and has a focused air charge to swirl fuel mixture optimaly to OEM spark plug electrode location. Brisk had the same problem with their plugs designed for the Mini. The electrode did not protrude far enough into the combustion chamber. The Mini and VW/Audi BPY engines are all direct injection as such suffer from same problem. Brisk did redesign their plugs for the Mini and I hope they do the same for the VW/Audi direct injection motors as well. I made Brisk aware of problem however no sign to date thst they are taking seriously and offering a redesign. (simple online search will show issues Brisk experienced with Mini brand autos) If redesigned I would love to try again and if worked as advertised would be a regular customer. That said the Zex plugs were the only plugs of which corrected high rpm flamout due to 25-30 lbs of boost from the upgraded K04 VW/Audi S3 turbo and APR appropriate software running in the car. Had high hopes for these plugs unfortunatly did not live up to their advertised superior function as advertised. At least on the VW/Audi 2.0T FSI BPY engine which has its share of design flaws and poor reliability also but thats another story.
