Not a toy like the 18 volt ones. Definitely a great tool for the quiver. The battery does run down pretty fast. If you are framing and ripping all day long you will need three batteries and two chargers. I'm not sure about the 9 amp hr battery. Perhaps one of each will be enough or 2 9s would be the answer. My remodeling co is doing fine with one grinder, one saw and two 6 amp hr batteries.
