Solid, unique, and we'll made..
Well made, very heavy, and very unique. I had it out and 4 out of 5 people asked me what it was and can they see it. The screw off pipe match function is why I purchased it and that works better than I expected. I believe the wick may take a beating as it took me learning to be carful when screwing it back in after use. I purchased to replace the Dewel trench lighter you see for $24. That one has it's problems although cool in retro respect. But I like this one much better. The only bad things about it would be the fuel capacity is small so refill will be often. However, the small capacity is what makes it usable as a tamp so I accept the trade off. The other thing is the wind will knock out the flame with ease given design has no windscreen. But again, no way to have that function and maintain the simple elegant design. Overall, super cool, stylish, retro, and the optics says class. I would have paid more for it. Actually going to buy another one to keep around. Very happy with my buy.

Quality and affordable
I love this lighter. It's exactly what you want, so just buy it like I did. It's heavy duty and just works. You do have to fill it up with fuel often cause the cylinder is pretty small but it works amazing well and you'll feel cool using it. It's kind of a fidget toy as well. You'll enjoy it as much as I do.

I really life this lighter, but...
Okay, pros and cons: Pros: - This is a really cool lighter. - When it works, it works amazingly well. - It is super handy for things where a match would work better than a lighter. - The pipe tamper is great. - It's easy to refill. Cons: - Keeping fuel in it is a pain. It's got the same evaporation issues as a Zippo, but with a way smaller reservoir. - The flanges that hold the wick break off if you look at them funny... but it seems to function better without them. - When using as a match-style lighter, you can't just light it as normal, then remove the top. Lighting it in two pieces isn't hard, though.

Nice addition to collection.
Quite unique design. Pros: * Slim design allows for portability * Nice weight, light but with a presence feel to it * Very easy to fuel and replace flint * Fuel seems to last quite a bit. I estimate one can get 4-5 days (depending on use) Observations (may be cons for some): * The windproof design seems to work quite well. I've only tested it indoors by blowing on it. I think windy days will require covering it with the other hand. * I had to drill inside the wick cover a tad to make more room for the wick to be longer, hence get a bigger flame. *∆ Make sure you are handy IF you'll attempt to drill. It doesn't require a lot of force. * Replacing the wick may be a challenge as thin tweezers may be required to remove the cotton. Though I think a sturdy wire may do the trick. Overall, this a good buy. I collect these (see pic) as conversation starters. Girls tend to ask me for a light (with another intent, wink) and these unique lighters enhance said conversations. I don't smoke 😉

Very cool but maybe sure you get the liquid lighter fluid like for a zippo

Broken
The lighter arrived defective. The flint wheel spur flailed on the first try. Simply fell off. Poorly manufactured. No value for the money.
