It is about 3/4" thicker than needed but I find the extra space useful for other adapters and DAC/amp dongles as needed. I bought one case, and after it arrived and I used it for a few days, decided to get another so both sets of headsets were nicely protected. If you're looking for a thin easily packable minimal case, you're probably not using a corded closed back set of headphones introduced almost 20 years ago.
