Black Maneki Neko Money Lucky Cat Chinese Japanese Statue

I bought both of these lucky cats (the black and white) for a friend's housewarming gift. I was sooo happy when I received them and had a chance to look at them up close. The quality of the pieces are much more than I expected. They have excellent detail, are a good size, and a pretty substantial weight. These are solid little statues and I can't complain about so much as a paint flaw! All this and a great price as well. I will definitely be purchasing more of these little cats as gifts and a pair for myself. ;)

I bought this back in 2011 along with the white one. First of all it was painted extremely nicely. It has a really good weight to it and it is very sturdy. I can vouch for this because my real cats occasionally have caused him to kiss the floor. Miraculously he is complete, unbroken and not even chipped. If he's lucky, I feel like maybe he's just a little dormant and just waiting for the right time to spring that on me 8 years after his purchase. Overall a really great decorative piece however.

This guy is pretty small, which I did read about but you never really understand until it’s right in front of you but OMG he’s so stinkin cute!!! Great little knick-knack piece for my bookshelf…and hopefully he brings me some luck!

I collect Lucky Cats and this one was too cute for words... he's well-made and nicely painted, with a wonderful expression. Besides, he's got BOTH paws raised, so he's calling both wealth and good fortune, and who doesn't need that? It's a nice size and weight... this would make a wonderful paperweight, but mine's just gonna sit on the shelf and make me smile every time I walk past...!

Absolutely adorable!! I have a collection of maneki neko cats, all of them are ceramic and I do love them all, but this one is something special. He looks like ceramic but he is resin but you can't really tell until you pick him up and hold him. I say him because "he" looks very masculine to me with his impish, devil may care expression. I just can't stop admiring this guy (so I am back to buy his mate the white one) I hope the company will read this and make a gold one , a red one and a pink one. The size of this is also the biggest in my collection, 4" to tip of one ear. When you hold this in your hand and look at him, he actually makes you SMILE...which of course is PRICELESS....along with bringing good luck and prosperity.

Adorable statue! I couldn't be happier with it. It's solid, not hollow, which gives a nice weighty feel to it. The collar pattern appears on the back as well and there is a raised, molded tail - not separate or moveable. The cat, tail, coin, collar, bell, etc. is all one solid piece. There is a small stamp on the back - "2011 Summit". Really lovely work. I bought the matching white cat as well. They are both so nice, I don't think I could pick a favorite.

Some of the paint is a little off but overall, very cute. Exactly what I was expecting.
