Bailey of Hollywood Men's Tino

Two things, first, this is a great quality hat! I am very impressed with quality of the materials as well as the finish and fit. The wool is felted well and is of such a density that it provides a feel of quality as well as durability. This hat is fully crushable and returns perfectly to the proper shape. The hat does run just a touch big, but nothing that a little foam in the hat band won't resolve easily. I have a 7 3/8 inch head and the large had just a little more room than needed but some thin foam made the fit perfect and I am completely satisfied. The camel color is a beautiful dark tan that is very attractive and great for spring and summer wear. I am thinking about purchasing one in black and maybe one of the "mixed colors" for leisure wear. The packaging of the hat was great and it arrived in perfect condition. Second, the customer service from this seller was great. For some reason my entire Amazon order was processed twice. Bailey's went the extra mile and contacted me right away to make sure I intended to place two orders for this hat. When I informed them of what happened and requested a refund they promptly handled the refund and the single hat arrived on my door just a few days later.

I absolutely love my Bailey!! I was fortunate to be able to try one on in a local store, so I knew what size I needed. I ordered the Basalt color and it's outstanding. Kind of a medium to dark gray (more of a medium color IMHO). I've got a close friend who has one in the dark brown that is really well worn, and I like it, but I wanted to give the basalt a try and I can't see me wearing any other color. It's dark enough as to not show every little spot, but not so dark as to show every piece of lint or fuzz like a black hat can tend to do. I bought this hat to wear and not just sit on a shelf or hang on a hook. The lite felt gives this hat a good waterproofing and can be smashed, rolled or packed, and still pop back into shape, so I don't have to worry about it. I hope this review helps. As long as the one you get fits properly I can't imagine that you'd be disappointed. There are a lot of choices out there and many are way cheaper, but I believe you get what you pay for, another HUGE plus is that Bailey of Hollywood actually make their hats in the good ol' USA!

There are plenty of hats out there to choose from, but this one jumped out at me when I saw the listing. When it arrived, I was very pleased with my decision to buy it. Unlike some of the hats found in department stores, this one fits the way most hats this size fit. Between the fit and the material, it is very comfortable to wear. In fact, if it weren't for being able to see the brim I would probably forget I was wearing it! This hat is also rather practical. It's packable and water repellent, so I haven't been afraid to wear it out in the rain or wind. It's none the worse for the wear as expected. Unlike my other hats, this means I can use it to keep the rain off of my glasses. Finally, I love the look of the hat. The shape and color are exactly what I was looking for. To my surprise, the hat has also received many compliments from people that I don't even know.

I liked the Tino. I tried it based on my ownership of a Bailey Curtis, which I love. The Tino has the smaller brim, with a snap up in the back that I think looks good when I wear my sport jacket. The Curtis is my go-to hat for outdoors/hiking/birding activities because it blocks the sun well and it's waterproof nature and wool construction protect my head, face, and neck from the elements better. Unfortunately, While the Curtis I own is a large, I bought a Tino in large and it was way too big. Exchanged it for the Tino medium, and while the hat band (and consequently the overall fit) was much better, while wearing it the crown just looked oversized. Best I can compare it to is the way a bicycling helmet looks while worn... kinda bigger out on top than I'm used to seeing. The Tino's crown looked that way on my head. I do not have the same issue with the Curtis, or with the straw Trilbies I own. I guess I'll have to keep looking for a wool hat to fill this niche, but I'm kinda bummed because otherwise the Bailey Tino is a very nice hat for the money. Best advice I can give is to try it on and see how it looks on you, but watch the sizes, the Tinos seem to run larger.

Beautiful hat! Very well made and I am really happy with the color and finish. I would recommend that you remove the "Bailey" label inside the hat due to it's very irritating on your scalp (the points/corners are sharp). I used my techni-edge exacto knife to carefully do the job and it feels much better on my scalp. Other than that the only complaint that I have is that it is actually a little larger than all of my other hats (all including this one are XXL). I will definitely buy more in different colors as well as other hat designs.

This is a great hat. Extremely comfortable, and good quality. It arrived in a nice box, but was a little smashed, and it popped right back into shape when I removed the wrapping and adjusted it. I have lots of hats. Some are Xl, and some are size large. My head is more than 59 cm, but less than 60cm, so I usually fall right between large and XL with hats, and it always depends on the make of the specific hat,...does it run larger or smaller. In the Tino I wear a Large. It fits me perfectly.

For the sharp dressed man top it off with a Bailey of Hollywood fedora. I love Bailey of Hollywood and have a dozen of their hats. They put out a great looking product for a reasonable price. That said, I would caution that this is darker than pictured. It is very close in color to their parchment, which I already had, and which was also darker than the stamp size picture on the web. You can't go wrong with any Bailey of Hollywood product. Made in the U.S. they are true to size and look damn sharp.

1. I'm very disappointed that the hat was delivered damaged/crushed (see pics). 2. The Basalt color is not exactly black. It's more of a dark grey in color. I did a comparison with another Bailey of Hollywood in black to show the difference in contrast (see pics).
