Q: The Hydrant parts kit for c-1000 shows a plunger but does not include it as one of the parts of the kit. Is it there or not?

Q: Will this kit fix a leak coming from the underground base of the hydrant? Water comes up from underground when the faucet is on.

If water is leaking from below ground level when the yard hydrant is on one possibility is that it's a result of a leak at drain hole in the seat of the valve body. This can be caused from sediment getting inside the valve body or an old worn plunger. This kit includes the plunger so this could possibly help with the leak.

Q: There's an o-ring in the kit that has me confused. Where does it go. Didn't see one when I took it apart.

I had an o-ring in my kit also and had the same confusion. I did not use it and all worked well.
