I've seen answers ranging from 1-6 and description isn't very helpful.** A: i've never seen this particular sock from Darned Tough in anything but single pair per package **Q: If I go hiking in these, should I wear liner socks with them or will they be fine by themselves?** A: I've been hiking in these socks in the Wisconsin parks - a mix of terrains - since late last fall, typically 1-2 times a week, about 10-15 miles. I've not felt any need to wear liner socks. I'm wearing mid-weight boot socks - haven't had the opportunity to wear the light weight socks, but suspect they'll perform equally as well. **Q: ok I bought a 20.00 pr of socks how do I use the warranty a year later when they get bad with no regrstration availiable?** A: Keep your sales receipt, set your calendar and you will be surprised with proper care and best practice, great socks!!! **Q: Can you wear these with water sandals** A: If you choose to you can. But just like any other sock the moment they get water on them they will be wet and soggy.
