bought this item with the claim that it was a better battery then the original!! I just love my Dyson. It has lasted me for years and then my battery wouldn't stay charged. So I ordered a replacement. It was so easy to replace and worked so well and so so happy the filter replacements came with it. It's so durable and can feet in small places and under things too. It's so lite weight and with no annoying cord.

I originally purchased this battery for my Dy vacuum, through another vendor. It began to lose charge within a week's time. Do, I decided to return it and order a similar battery through another vendor. The second battery was the exact same battery as the first ( I thought tht I would be receiving a different brand). This battery, like the first, started to lose its charge in a short period of time. However, this time, because I was away and wasn't able to ascertain its qualities until I after I returned home, I missed the the return of product window and I'm now stuck with a poor quality battery and out $. What I've learned is never to buy knock off batteries trying to save money...rarely works. I will now go directly to the Dy store and pay the $$ because I love my Dy portable vacuum.

I ordered this battery and stopped holding a charge after one month. They replaced it with some brief questions and received it in just a couple days! VERY SATISFIED with their customer service!!f

I bought this battery on May 30th. I only use this vac about once or twice a week for quick refreshes. After about a week, it started failing occassionally. I thought I hadn't inserted it back into the charger properly...then it happened more often. As of today, not even 5 months later, it has completely died and the indicator is red. Meaning, the battery has to be replaced. My first battery lasted about 5 years....do not buy this.

We have had our Dyson for over 8 years and it was time for a replacement battery. This battery made a huge difference and the vacuum is working great now! Will definitely buy again whenever we need another one in a few years

Update: after writing review below, I REPLACED THE FILTER that comes with the batter. Now it works like charm! Battery never worked after easy install. It worked once for a full 20 minutes on low. After 4-5 uses, it held charge for about 5 minutes then go on-off intermittently. After a few uses, it would go on for seconds, then die. On 'high' battery would die in seconds. I charged it completely each time, but battery will not hold charge at all. I had bought this same off-brand battery and lasted 3 years, but this one was useless.

I’ve been using this for a few months. A definite improvement over the original OEM battery. Longer run time is great. So far no issues. If it lasts a year it’ll be a real value.
