Hill's Science Diet Dry Dog Food, Adult, Large Breeds, Light, Chicken Meal & Barley Recipe for Healthy Weight & Weight Management, 15 lb Bag

Our dog really loves this food and we've ordered it multiple times. Something that others should know: Packaging varies greatly! It generally comes well packaged, but on occasion the packaging is substandard. If it is not well-packed, it can cause the dog food to crumble when you get to the bottom of the bag. Usually it's a 2 day turn around, so we've started ordering early. On our last order--yesterday--I'd checked the status while cooking dinner and it showed it hadn't yet shipped, so I assumed it would arrive today (which I would have preferred). Nope, they delivered sometime last night and it had zero packaging!! So a $50.00 bag of dog food was just left on our porch overnight for someone to possibly tamper with, animals to rip open, etc. Moving forward, I may return to getting this product elsewhere.

Every bag we get ends up infested with bugs. We've change containers. We deep cleaned the containers and still just as we prepare to open a new bag, the container is still covered with the winged insects. What really bothers me is the fact that it's only the Hill's Science Diet Large Breed Light Adult Dry Dog Food. Our small dog Hill's Science dry food never has the problem. Thus, it appears that the source of the Large Breed Light is a nursery for insects.

Had to switch to hills science diet per the vet, nd my dog seems to love it. She seems to have more energy even noticed her weight has improved.

Well, she's a Lab, so maybe not too surprising that she loves it. We mix it 50/50 with her regular food and it's helping to manage her weight. She also gets to eat a little more than she would otherwise, so she's not constantly begging for food.
