Excellent Dehumidifier – Quiet, Efficient, and Powerful!
I did a ton of research before deciding on this dehumidifier, and I’m so glad I chose this one! From the moment I set it up, it has worked flawlessly. I followed the recommendation to let it sit before turning it on, and setup was incredibly easy. I opted to use the drain option, which makes maintenance effortless—no need to constantly empty the water tank. I have two of these units covering a 2,200 sq. ft. area, and they perform amazingly well. They pull moisture from the air quickly, making the space feel much more comfortable. The difference in humidity levels is noticeable, and the air quality has improved significantly. One of the best features is how quiet it is. Even though it’s running efficiently in the background, it doesn’t create much noise, which is a huge plus. Whether you're using it in a basement, large room, or anywhere else that needs humidity control, this dehumidifier is up to the task. Overall, I highly recommend it. It’s powerful, well-designed, and makes a huge difference in keeping the air dry and fresh. If you’re on the fence about getting one, don’t hesitate—you won’t regret it!

Quiet, powerful, and easy to use!
This dehumidifier works incredibly well! It quickly pulls moisture out of the air and keeps my basement feeling fresh and dry. I love that it has multiple modes, auto, continuous, and sleep, so I can adjust it easily depending on the humidity. It’s surprisingly quiet for how powerful it is, and the smart controls make it simple to monitor from my phone. The tank is easy to empty, and the design looks sleek in any room. Excellent product!

Easy to use
UPDATE: It dawned in me to check the warranty, though I wasn't hopeful that would go well. The unit has a 2 year warranty, and I was about 1.5 years in. It took about a day between each communication, but communication was happening! They sent a replacement unit after I provided the requested info (proof of purchase, and a couple videos of unit) . Unfortunately, that unit came damaged so I thought the worst, but again contacted them. They apologized profusely and got another one out right away. It arrived quickly and was up in running in no time, function as designed. So, of you have an issue, know that their costumer service actually exists and will work to take care of you. Worked great... for 1 summer. Doesn't seem to be doing anything anymore. Drain hose is bone dry with 65% humidity in the house, despite the unit being set to 50%. The fan is blowing, but no dehumidification taking place.

Horrible Service!!!
The dehumidifier did NOT WORK when we received it. We followed ALL the instructions - including letting the dehumidifier sit for 24 hours before plugging in and attempt to use the dehumidifier. Would NOT recommend! We returned the bad dehumidifier immediately, but we still have NOT received our refund. Horrible Service on EVERYTHING about this purchase!! However since we really needed a dehumidifier, we immediately purchase another dehumidifier from Amazon. On that purchase, we received GREAT service and that dehumidifier WORKS GREAT!!

Wonderful Dehumidifier
We are more than happy with our purchase if you are on the fence about which dehumidifier to go with as we were you can rest assured that if you go with this one you will have made a great choice. I've been using the HOGARLABS 50 Pint Dehumidifier for about a month now and I'm really impressed with it. It's been a lifesaver for my basement, which was always damp and musty. The dehumidifier has made a huge difference in the air quality in my basement, and it's no longer a breeding ground for mold and mildew. I like that the dehumidifier has a lot of features, such as the ability to set the humidity level, the timer, and the continuous drain. The digital display is also very helpful, as it gives me real-time information on the humidity level and the amount of water that has been removed. The dehumidifier is also very easy to use. It's just a matter of plugging it in, setting the desired humidity level, and turning it on. The dehumidifier does the rest. Overall, I'm very happy with the HOGARLABS 50 Pint Dehumidifier. It's a great product that has made a big difference in the air quality in my basement. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable and effective dehumidifier.

Works well
This dehumidifier was purchased for our basement. We needed a good one to keep the dampness out. It was on sale, it had good reviews-so I bought it. It’s not too heavy, it’s sleek design is nice, and it’s easy to program. The full tank beep is quiet. One thing I would change: the tank is too small. I have to empty it once a day. I realize that means it’s working to keep my basement at 47-50% humidity level, but it would be more convenient to have a tank that was bigger. Yes, it does come with a hose! That’s only good if you have a drain available. Shrug. Bottom line is this: I recommend this product.

I Love this machine
I really like this dehumidifier, it is used in my attached garage, which is now used for storing items, and wire shelves with extra clothes, cleaning supplies, shoes, and totes with blankets and pillows, and a lot of other things, this dehumidifier does a great job of keeping the area dry, it used to have moisture issues on the areas near the outside walls , that is no longer a issue since o started using this dehumidifier, it has been running nonstop for almost 2 months now, and I empty water out of the removable reservoir every day , it also came with a short hose if I wanted to hook into a nearby drain, but I find it easier to keep the water tank empty by hand. I will definitely buy another one of this if this one quit working

We were using a Noma dehumidifier for several years to control winter moisture in our Southwester Ontario home. It was piped to drain and ran automatically at set humidity level. The Noma unit ran very loud. It had to shut off if in the same room, and frequently overnight when guest slept in nearby rooms. Noise was the primary driver to replace this unit. The Hogarlabs dehumidifier appears to solve our noise concerns. It runs at a fraction of the noise level. No problems having it run continuously, if in the same room or one of the adjacent bedrooms. The Hogarlabs unit is approx. 25% smaller than the Noma unit is physical size. It has less intrusive and obvious presence in the room. Our new Hogarlab dehumidifier is working as expected and designed, set to our required humidity level. Easy to understand control panel. Piped/hose drain option. Perfect physical size. Low noise generation. It has been in operation for 2-3 weeks thus far and no concerns. Really hoping it continues to operate, problem free, for many years. UPDATE - 6 months later - Continuous operation on Auto mode, set to 45% and all is well. Gravity drain is awesome. Very quiet running.

The appliance performed as expected. I bought this unit to back up an older Danby on the other side of our large basement. I have it hooked up to a floor drain, which requires little monitoring. At turn on, it instantly and accurately records the surrounding humidity. The unit however, takes longer than my older Danby to reach target humidity, but it gets the job done. Operating noise level is low and it has a nice, sleek appearance. Users of the water tank (versus drain hose) may find its water-level mark inconvenient at the back of the unit. Overall, well worth the money.

I purchased this dehumidifier to put in my bathroom and it's been doing a great job since April 2023. I live in a half-basement, so the bathroom is the most humid and dark place there could be - I keep it by my shower with the tube emptying discreetly in there so it keeps the hot vapor from blowing through the rest of my apartment. It's loud on HIGH but fairly discrete and quiet on LOW. I don't know if I would sleep with it right beside me, but from the bathroom, I can't hear it at night. The humidity monitor is very sensitive and picks up on when I'm cooking or showering right away. The modes are easy to cycle through and if I hang all of my wet laundry on my shower rack and close the door, it can dry everything within three hours. I do wish there was more airflow in my apartment, or that the dehumidifier could suck in air from other rooms, but I think that has more to do with the layout of my unit rather than the machine. It is very heavy so hard to move around (as I initially thought I would do), and the wheels can pick up dirt and scratch hardwood floors so be careful with that. In retrospect, I probably should have bought two smaller dehumidifiers to split the load, but then I would need to empty one regularly. I have found this set-up convenient and remarkably reliable! In November 2023, I noticed lots of strange sounds coming from the dehumidifier and a high-pitched whining. I turned it off and gently cleaned the filter with a q-tip, taking little dustballs off all the key areas. It worked fine after that! I will likely need to change the air filter soon after a full 12 months of daily use.
