Unfortunately, it was badly damaged. On Monday morning, I called OceanStar but there was no answer and all I got was a machine so after several attempts, I decided to return it to Amazon. It was the first time I've had to do a return but it was very fast and easy.I printed out the return label, packed it up and took it to the UPS store. When I got home, I was surprised to see that Amazon had already shipped a replacement. A couple of hours later, I received a call from OceanStar. The caller was very nice and apologized for not answering my calls. It turned out that they are in the process of moving to a new location and their phone system was not set up yet. He told me if there was any problem with the replacement to send them an email and they would ship me whatever I needed. It is nice to know that OceanStar stands behind their products.The replacement hamper arrived today and this one is perfect. I like the natural finish and bow front and it went together quickly and easily. The liner is generously sized so it does not reduce the amount of storage.This hamper is a huge improvement over my old one and I could not be more pleased. Even though the first hamper arrived damaged, I still gave this product five stars because of the great customer support from both Amazon and OceanStar. Please note that this product does require assembly although it is very easy. The type of screws to put it together are really funky and not easy to use. It was hard to get them to catch and ultimately what I ended up doing was getting some long nails and securing it from the back with nails. I actually really like this hamper, which is why I kept it. If I didn’t really like it I just would’ve sent it back. But the screws are not easy....They aren’t even screws, I’ve never seen anything like these and I’ve assemble tons of stuff. But if you just get some long screws or nails you can put it together and anything you did like that would be really discreet. Otherwise it’s super nice and the perfect size ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Look *by J***E on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 4, 2014* We purchased this hamper for our boys' bedroom, which has dark wood flooring and espresso-colored furniture. As others have mentioned, the "mohagany finish" is a solid black, not an espresso. I built it in 15 minutes with no issues. I think the other reviewers who experienced trouble are not familiar with the hardware used to join the pieces of wood together. The frame appears to be solid wood, but the body of it is most likely made up of light-duty pressed wood. So the quality is average. If someone sat on the top, for example, it would certainly break. Nevertheless, the pressed wood probably keeps the weight down significantly so that carrying it to the laundry room isn't a weight-lifting routine. It features two holes in the sides for easy lifting. The hardware is comprised of brass hinges and a locking mechanism that holds the lid open slightly past 90 degrees. There are two thin rubber stoppers in the corners of the lid that keep it from slamming, but it still makes quite a sound when dropping it shut - probably the vibration from the pressed wood portion of the lid.
