I measured and got the correct size and perfect fit . Took about 5 minutes to put on and about the time I got finished the cottonwood was already coming down from the tree and I could see the mesh catching it and keeping it away from my unit. A few years ago it clogged up and completely shut down my hvac system and I had to clean the cottonwood out to get up and running again . This mesh will keep the junk out and keep my AC working strong . Best money I ever spent . If you have a cottonwood tree nearby this will save you time effort and a service call for sure . I gave the mesh cover a 5-star rating because (1) It's well made and fits my AC like a glove, and (2) It's breathable and deflects heat, (3) at $35 it's by far the most practical, cost-effective solution to keeping grass and leaves out of the AC, and (4) The cover is easy to put on and take off. It also washable. A word about how I came to order this mesh cover. I had my AC inspected and serviced a couple weeks back in preparation for the hot season which will likely hit most anytime here in southern Virginia. The service technician told me that the unit had grass packed up into it and had caused some of the wiring insulation to be burned. The burned wiring components had to be replaced at an additional $140 expense. The service technician said it was imperative that the unit be kept free from grass and leaves to prevent damage to the AC. I talked to the Owner of my lawn service about alternatives to keep grass and leaves out but all of the solutions we considered involved either landscaping or construction of an enclosure around the unit, which meant an expense far exceeding that of the mesh cover.

Great in protecting my air conditioner. All the fluffy cotton stuff from the cotton wood trees get stuck in it instead of inside the ac. It’s kind of a pain to take off and clean but worth it for longevity of the ac

I got the cover to put on our central air compressor, it is a little large for it, but the straps make it work perfectly while still letting air flow through the compressor.

Keeps AC unit free of fuzz.

Ordered this after getting a $300 bill from HVAC heat pump service for cleaning out the compressor cooling fins. Mower blow from landscapers did quite a buildup.
