hold rug in place
NOTE that if your carpet is curling and the ends won't sty down, especially if it is a very stiff textile, but even with wool, you may need to do some other things before using tape to hold the rug in place. Tape is more for keeping it from sliding around, not holding the ends down. If you search you will find hints for issues involving curling ends, like flipping the rug over for a week or two, putting it underneath another rug, putting heavy books on top, etc. This product holds the carpet in it's place, yet carpet pulls up easily. I didn't think it would work because it wanted to peel off the rug before i could get it laid out on the floor. But after I walked on it I saw it was perfectly holding it in place. I did order more.

Seems to work good.
This tape is mesh-style double sided (double-stick) ''tape''. Applying it can be a bit tricky because the yellow plastic backing must be peeled off. You need to ''pinch'' it in a corner with a fingernail to get the yellow plastic to come off.It seems top work good for a throw rug over a carpet, but I found that if it won't stick to the bottom of a throw rug, putting Gorilla Tape on the bottom of the throw rug where the Rug Gripper Tape comes in contact with it solves the problem.

Perfect for Realistic Expectations
Used with a runner on top of carpet. Must place at least 3 long strips on runner and then place on carpet. I like to put runners in high traffic areas on top of carpet. No problem removing and lasted for several months with minor adjustments. Important to be realistic with expectations and realize may have to reapply with continued use and if removed to vacuum. Saving the carpet underneath from wear and tear and dirt was worth the money spent to reapply. Haven't tried on my hard wood in new house yet but would think if leave glue behind then can just use Goo be Gone to remove it. That stuff works good.

Sticks to hands and feet great
Not so much my carpet backing or laminate floors. And once I finally got my area rug where I wanted it, within a week the area rug is shifting again. Trying to put this stuff down was a little nightmare as it sticks to hands and feet, and itself, very well but would not stick to the back of the area rug I was trying to apply it to. So every time I turned the rug over to lay on the laminate this stuff would just fall off. Tried sticking it to the floor and laying the rug over it and that eventually worked but if I didn't line it up perfectly the adhesive would shift and I'd have to start over again. Can not recommend.

Sometimes sticks
This tape is just O.K. it's adhesion is hit or miss. The first small rug I used it for, everything stuck great! It sticks well to the floor surface, but not so great to the rug. The second one I tried it on was a runner, it did not work at all. I did everything the same as before, it would not hold the rug down no matter what I tried. So after a couple days of the rug sliding all over I pulled the tape up from the floor (removes easily), and ordered another type of rug tape.

Amazing Product
This gripper tape is so versatile. I've used it to secure my GPS to my car's dashboard, to prevent my outdoor entry rug from slipping around, to keep a hall runner secure on the wooden floor, to keep my small kitchen and bathroom rugs from shifting around. When a rug needs laundering, I carefully pull it away, leaving the gripper tape in place. When the laundered rug is dry, I simply position it over the existing gripper tape, press it down, and the tape again holds it in place! Rug Gripper Tape performs true to its advertising and turned out to be useful beyond my expectations.

Doesn’t Stick to the Rug
I’ve bought this several times, and every time, I’m reminded that I hate it. It doesn’t stick to the rug well. This time, it wouldn’t stick on my rug at all. Going to find a different solution because this sucks.
