Super handy
I love this thing! I play guitar and use a multi-effects floor processor that has a NEMA power cord. This adapter lets me split the one power cable so I can also plug in an iPad charger with the same cable -- no power strip needed. The short size is perfect for my application.

Used to Power Top Tool Chest
Picked up the 72" Harbor Freight bottom tool chest and matching top hutch. The bottom tool chest has a plug in the back for power in one of the drawers. Uses the same plug found on billions of PC power supplies. I wanted to feed power to the top hutch, but didn't want an extra power cord running to the wall outlet. This splitter allows for splitting the HF power cord. Plug this Y-cord between the HF power cord and the tool chest, then feed the other cord through the back of the top hutch. From there I used a HF (color matched) magnetic power 'strip' on the inside wall of the hutch. Too easy. Best I can tell, the wire gauge is up to the task. The rubber insulation feels ok. This is used inside on a tool chest that will rarely move if ever, so a pretty easy life for it. Been a few months and so far it is working fine. Expecting it to last.

Great for Rack Equipment
I bought this item because I had a rack that needed a C13 and NEMA 15 on a single C14 for a networking equipment. It did exactly what I needed it to do. I was able to power the rack mount network switch and the smaller network switch that used a wall transformer on a single line using this. Build quality of the cable was good and all the connections were tight.

Works great
I needed to attach a little Chromecast to my ceiling projector. The Chromecast requires USB-C power and has it's own HDMI output - it's meant to be directly plugged into a TV/projector. The projector had it's own power cable but otherwise there is no outlet in the ceiling. Using this splitter I could power the Chromecast with a tiny USB-C charger. Problem solved!
