This case did NOT offer any sort of protection. Maybe it only protects when the computer is closed(?) Now I have to buy a new computer. I was never impressed with this case but now I'm downright angry at it. I do NOT recommend this. Cons: 1-No instructions for installation. 2-Tough fit as it sort of folds in on itself some around the edges. 3-Trying to take it off is a nightmare and it will pull your monitor apart. 4-It looks like I'm stuck with this for the life of my BRAND NEW computer since it is now holding my monitor together. 5-Already scratched from simply carrying in a work bag for half of a work day.
