Cow Butter Dish

This is a cute butter dish ... perfect for your one pound butter ... Just have to be careful when washing not to scratch it ... always use a sponge

This butter dish does its job while looking cute in the process! It’s very well made, easily holds two sticks of butter. And it looks cute on my counter :)

This was purchased to eliminate one source of marital discord: I hated the way my spouse left bits of cream cheese in the foil wrapper, when it so easy to swipe it out whole and clean. The bits he left in the wrapper would microspoil and form nasty hard bits that would contaminate an otherwise lovely spread of cream cheese on one’s bread. Besides, it wasted cream cheese, and it is good to be thrifty. I selected several possible cream cheese holders and presented the choice to spouse. He first said he didn’t care, but later said, “You’re getting the one with the cow, aren’t you?” So I did. It arrived. It is cute. Its dimensions are larger than that of US cream cheese packaging, so no problem fitting in the cream cheese. It fits in the butter/dairy compartment of our fridge. It is not hard to wash. Its geometry makes it more difficult to get a clean swipe of cream cheese without leaving tiny bits on the bottom of the container. If you’re not careful replacing the lid, you can get bits of cream cheese on the lid edges. None of these bits thus created have contaminated my cream cheese on bread; none are as large as those my spouse used to leave in the foil packaging. Even though I am disconcerted that we’re both now unable to take clean sweeps of cream cheese (though a shorter cream cheese knife, a.k.a. a spreader might help with this) I am happy that this container has achieved what it was meant to do: eliminate one source of marital discord. I’m no longer mad at my spouse for how he hacked at the cream cheese in its foil. And the thing is cute. But I already said that.

The messiness of a block of cream cheese has been bothering me for years. The foil wrapper and how areas of the cream cheese turn hard because it’s difficult to seal the block tightly. (Especially, when others in the household don’t care to really try.) This cute cow container/butter keeper has solved the problem. Although, the lid is not airtight it does a really good job of keeping the cream cheese from hardening. The best thing is just being able to easily access and put away the cream cheese without having to get it on your fingers. I love it so much I bought one for my daughter and son-in-law.

Holds 1/4 pound stick of butter . I wish that the handle was bigger

I have had mine a few years and it’s held up through many dishwashing as well as being dropped. No nicks , chips or breaks. I love mine and probably should have bought 2. One as a gift and 1 for me. Large capacity to hold up to 4 sticks of butter or one full block. Very cute as well. I was promised overnight delivery but did not receive it as promised. I had to wait another full day . A little late for a gift. Other than that inconvenience all is good. Thanks

This butter dish is cute but, it's a lot bigger than I expected. I also wish the lid would have a tighter fit. It isn't snug in the base so it can easily slip off. My cat was easily able to push the lid off with his nose to get to the butter with one nudge. I was also disappointed to see the dish isn't dishwasher safe. Butter isn't the easiest to clean up. It is "cute", but I would not recommend this product.

Die Dose kam schneller, als angegeben und sieht genau so schick aus, wie auf den Bildern. Sie ist groß genug für ein Standard-Stück Butter mit 250g, ohne dass eben jenes an den Deckel stößt. Damit bleibt die Dose schön sauber und kann am Ende der Butter einfach ein Mal abgespült werden. Ich bin ja sonst eher für wirklich handwerklich hergestelltes Geschirr, aber wenn man die Butterdose im Kühlschrank auf den Glaseinlagen herumschiebt, da wollte ich doch eher etwas sanfteres haben und bin mit dieser Dose hier sehr zufrieden.

Es un poco cara para lo que es, porque no es que sea de un material de altísima calidad. Pero me gustó el detalle de la ilustración de la vaquita y por eso la compré y no me arrepiento. De momento muy contenta con la compra.

Cute product in plastic, however does not fit 500g block so worthless to me.
