I set up a new workbench in the corner of a room and i quickly became apparent that the lighting was terrible, unworkable after dusk. That led me to buying this and I was skeptical when I bought it, but it's a great lamp for this type of scenario. First, it's low voltage which means low heat, lower energy usage, even better safety. The cord on the power adapter plug is 6 feet long and plenty long for most locations. The clamp is well built and strong and firmly mounts the fixture to your desk. I didn't measure but it could handle a 2" countertop with no trouble by the looks of it. The gooseneck is strong, but flexible; the head stays where it is put and it doesn't sag or drift with time. Very sturdy. Finally the controls are simple, intuitive, and allow for a wide range of different light color and brightness for reading, doing precision crafts, or preparing a meal. I am very pleased with the light and would definitely buy again.

I like the optional lighting temperature. (I prefer the warmer tones.) I like being able to adjust the brightness and when you turn on the light it remembers your last setting. The size is just right for 4’-6’ tables. The clamp seems to work well and keeps the light secure. I like white. Now the 4 star rating. I don’t like having to tap the on/off switch 5 times to turn it off and the light gets hot. The flexible part is flexible but very stiff to adjust. It does stay in place when get it where you want it. The build quality seems good. Time will tell. It works great for sewing and lights up my cutting table very well. I recommend.

5 stars, would buy again! I am a seamstress and this light has been an absolute game changer for my sewing. I also run on solar and this light uses very, very little wattage. Worth every penny!! Don't question it, just buy it!

I tried several lights prior to this, mainly looking for something to illuminate my desk for telework functions. This takes up no desk space, is sleek and stylish. The light is bright (and adjustable) but not blinding. The arm is both flexible and sturdy (it actually stays where you position it). The buttons take a little getting used to (the single button is nice, tap to turn on/off, hold down to dim/brighten, but the double-tap to change light modes requires a slower double-tap than you may expect) and the clamp base is made for desks of varying thickness such that it extends rather low below the desk which could be a problem if you have anything directly under the surface it is clamped to. Overall it's working great.

I needed a new desk light and picked this one based on its reviews not the style. After getting it I realized this is a great cool light for my desk. The multi-levels of brightness and the ability to adjust the color tone from tungsten to incandescent is awesome. The flexible shaft allows you to move it from spot to spot if you need a little extra light in a spot but believe me, you won't as it lights up everything. The clamp is really well made and sturdy. The light looks a little quirky and odd but don't let that fool you, its an awesome light. Now I need to get another one for my workbench in the garage. Way to go HoKone !!!!!

Replaced an Ottlite for sewing. The Ottlite failed and they do not provide replacement parts for the lamp we have which was very disappointing. This serves the same purpose. It is as described it has different white levels and intensity. It also swivels.
