A no brainer product; it looks cheap but it works and works well
1. Ok, someone noted that this is a glorified chip clip; it may look like it but this is something that no average person can make; it's very strong, it's very simple and it's an essential piece of equipment for those who go out into the wild / use backpacks and need to attach pouches to the front of the pack, so as to have easy access to gear. It's amazing that such a product does not exist. Furthermore, it's crazy how backpack makers don't create backpacks with a variety of loops / webbing on the front shoulder straps, but many don't, which is where this product comes in handy. Instead of trying to explain how it works, just buy it and you'll quickly figure it out. 2. Highly recommended.

Before using, I filed the spikes down to nubs.
The spikes on the inside of the clip are meant to hold it securely in place, but they are so sharp I did not dare to use it out of the box. It would easily have put holes in nylon and would surely tear the mesh backside of my pack straps. Works great after modifying.

Good but not perfect
Great idea but clumsy. I use these on my North Face backpacks for attachment points. They are well made and do the job but they can get in the way too. There is no left strap or right strap clip and where the adjustment click is, the plastic sticks straight out. On the right side strap it's on the outside and not in the way, but on the left side it's in the middle of your chest. The tab of plastic is 1" wide and sticks up about 3/4", it gets caught on things and causes the clip to open up and come off. Can be annoying checking it allot.

writing titles is the hardest part of a review
It's surprising that backpacks don't have better ways to attach things to your shoulder straps. Some things you want to have easy access, like your phone for pictures, for bear spray, or a water bottle. This thing solves that problem. I have my bear spray on one strap, and a phone holder on the other. It has different clamp measurements, and it doesn't clamp on the higher ones, so I have to push down to get it to clamp on the lower teeth, but that's where I would want to clamp it anyway. So I'm a bit worried if it will eventually work its way loose. But right now, it stays on tight.

Clakit gear is just the best
I love clakit cellphone holders for my bag straps, and these fasteners are perfect for holding a keychain and tether. I’ve tried to improvise other solutions but these are so much better — they hold their position when you want them to, and they’re easily moved when you switch bags. Zero complaints.

Glorified Chip Clip
I ordered these and instead of the pack of 3 shown with plastic spikes on the inside to hold the clip in place, I got a pack of 5 that instead of spikes had just plastic ridges that keep the clip from moving up and down, but do nothing to prevent it from sliding left and right. At this point a chip clip could do the job just as well.

They Do The Job
They get the packs attached to my bags in a way that works. What worries me is how the teeth that connect and hold the clip in place affect the shoulder strap and bag straps. So far, it doesn't seem to have that much of a bad effect, and I'm happy with the ability to finally connect these two items. I just hope it's not causing them undue wear as a result. Time will tell. I do recommend this item.
