Review: absolute must if you have tree roots in your line - So I had just moved in to my new home. Next thing I know I have sewerage in my basement. So of course like anyone I had a slight meltdown. It was a horrible experience having to clean the mess. The local rooter company came out and used the auger for hours trying to reach the tree roots. After cleaning out the line they used RootX. They recommended that I have them come out and treat the line with Rootx as least twice a year along with them using an auger to keep the line clean. Needless so say I looked online to see if I could purchase the item myself. I mean heck it didn't look to hard when they used it. Anyway, I found Rootx on desertcart and O Happy Day. I purchased the product and used Rootx faithfully every 3 months for the first year. The second year I used Rootx every 6 months. I normally treat the lines at the end of fall and the end of spring. So far so good, no backups in my lines. I will continue using rootx every since months as long as I own this home. Every time someone mentions a blocked sewer line I recommend Rootx to them. Rootx is easy to use and reasonably priced. Just be sure follow the directions on the packaging. I use the toilet method. Just be sure to pour at least at 5 gallons of water immediately after pouring rootx in. If you do not flush quick and follow with water, you will have a bit of eruption of foam. All in all I love this product. Highly recommend. It also saved my sanity.
Review: EXPENSIVE BUT EFFECTIVE - Expensive, but it does work. I found a cheaper alternative this year and time will tell if I should have just bought the RootX.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps my roots clean
*by T***. on December 7, 2020*

My neighbor has the wrong tree on the wrong place. I replace the line once and even so it was still running so slow that I had to keep a auto-on pump on the backyard when a big rainstorm was coming... So, a plumber told me about this. Now, in my yard, it's not the easiest thing to apply but if you do it right it will keep the lines clear. I use it twice a year. Since my drain sits sideways at the bottom of a depression, I had to improvise. So I made a 90 degree contraption from 2" PVC with a 90deg elbow rising to a 3" PVC "vertical column" with a 4" "mouth". I shake the powder into the bottom of the contraption, careful not to spill it. Then I insert the PVC about 10 inches into the drain keeping the column straight up. I bring in a couple of 10 gallon HD buckets full of water and I drop an entire bucket fast... so it pushes the foaming down the line. Some foam might still spill from the top of the column, so if so, I will apply another 5 gallons or so. Given how far the horizontal 2" goes into the drain, I have no issues with foam leaking there. Let is sit for a few days before rising the line. Next year I plan to replace the 3" column with a full 4"... I think that will ensure better downstream foaming by allowing a larger column of water to sit above the foam.
