Made much sturdier than old models from the 80's and 90's. Easy to use.
This was a gift for my husband. He said that microwave popcorn wasn't good for you. The Poplite popcorn popper worked great, and our popcorn was ready in minutes. Now we just need to remember what seasonings we used. It's easy to take apart to wash it. This is made better that our old air popcorn popper. Our old one was difficult to snap together.

Great - Presto Poplite Plus in all Aqua w/ power switch
Just bought the Presto Poplite Plus (solid Aqua with the power button) and have used it twice so far. Works great. Pour in the butter/scoop full as instructed then turn the machine on. Pops popcorn and there are maybe a dozen un-popped kernels at most. I’ve only had 2 un-popped kernels come out of the machine and into the bowl in the 2 full batches I’ve made. No burnt popcorn, pops popcorn in a few minutes, doesn't require oil, easy to clean, compact size, is loads of fun to watch! I highly recommend. So much better than the microwave popcorn bags The plastic cover and butter melter do get quite warm so I can see how people would be melting the cover and butter dish if they preheat the machine or run it consecutively and don’t give the machine time to cool down between batches.

Good Basic Popper at a Reasonable Price
Basic and functional. Doesn't take up a lot of space and pops a large bowl of popcorn (see photo). Pops almost all of the corn kernels, is easy to clean, sleek design, pops corn in a few minutes. I haven't used the butter melt cup on top and probably won't. It doesn't have an on/off switch so you have to plug it in and unplug each time, which I found odd, but maybe that's typical for corn poppers? The top DOES get hot, so let it cool before removing.

So simple a child could do it.
Great little popcorn maker for everyday snacking. The Presto PopLite is super easy to use—just add kernels and in a couple of minutes you’ve got a big bowl of fresh popcorn. I like that it uses hot air instead of oil, so it’s a healthier option, and the popcorn comes out light and fluffy with very few un-popped kernels. I prefer to melt the butter without using the built in cup but that is personal preference. Cleanup is basically nothing, which is a huge plus. It’s lightweight and doesn’t take up much counter space either. Perfect for movie nights or quick snacks.

Reliable!
Our household uses this little appliance once a week, at least! It pops a half cup on kernels pretty quickly. There are probably less than a dozen kernels unpopped in the end. Also, after unplugging (which is how it powers on/off) there will Always Be One More Pop. We don't use the cup to melt butter (cause messy and not 100% melted). No burning. Looks cute, easy to assemble and use (just make sure all debris is cleared from the lid's slot (😒at my partner).

Maybe defective? And Troublesome
Edit at the bottom. It pops popcorn. If that’s all you need then it’s okay. My two star for this is because of the inconveniences and hassles. The minor one is how the measuring cup/machine needs have to have a certain amount of kernels when popping, otherwise the kernels get blown out of the spout. You can’t do a small batch if you wanted to. The machine either needs to have a less powerful fan or have a taller heating tube so the kernels don’t rise so high when popping that they fly out. Once popped then they are light and big enough to catch air to escape. Which would make sense. But, why have a machine that makes a mess and ends up with too many kernels in the serving bowl at the bottom. Wasteful My other issue is the measuring cup itself. This issue deserves a 1 star. The measuring cup doubles as a spot to melt butter, very cool and neat. The butter should be room temp when doing it, not refrigerated. However, my issue with this is that the hot air flows past the measuring cup handle. The cup does not seal against the clear cover and so the handle of the cup will get extremely hot. I find this wrong and somewhat of a dumb design. I’m sure there is an explanation for this from the company as to why it is that way, but it is a hazard nonetheless. If the reason is so you leave it alone til it cools, leaving time for the butter to melt, it isn’t in the instructions. Burning my fingers while using the product as it was intended is not okay. I know first world problems. But don’t get this machine, it’s messy enough and slightly dangerous that it’s not worth the trouble. They reinvented the wheel here and decided to add the feature of burning you while they were at it. Edit: I changed my rating to a three, it was two. The reason for the change is because I am using it differently enough for it to work better. In the beginning of a “popcorn cook” I will leave the butter melter top off and place the top back on once about 4-8 kernels has popped. That way it doesn’t shoot the kernels out as much. At the end of the cook you will need to either try the lid off again or have a towel in front to reduce the airflow in order for the kernels not to fly out. And also, don’t use it to melt butter, it’s still not a smart idea. You’ll burn you fingers. This advice here is in no way a recommendation, it’s just what I’ve had to do in order to not have so many kernels in the popcorn bowl. This advice is also most likely against the manufacturers guidance and recommendations. Do not take my statements as advice.

Darn good popper but don't put the measuring cup in a microwave
I was using a cast iron frying pan with a little oil in it but this is way better. Also better than microwave popcorn. Makes super fluffy popcorn, no burnt kernels, more kernels fully pop, and of those few that don't pop, some stay in the machine so they're a little easier to separate. Seems to be just as fast as popping them on a stove top or in a microwave. I find that it can help to tilt the popper back a little so that unpopped kernels are less likely to get blown out, especially so with some smaller kernels such as white popcorn. Once the chamber fills with popped kernels, they tend to hold the unpopped ones in the chamber. The measuring dish is sort of effective in melting butter but some remains unmelted. I put the yellow dish in the microwave to finish the job but the hot butter melted the plastic. Bad idea.

Awesome popcorn popper. Works as described. Popcorn some times gets stuff once they really get popping which requires you to unclog the popcorn to prevent burning.

Absolut KEINE kaufempfehlung meinerseits !!!!!
