The best thermostat. Wanted a smart thermostat that didn't require a subscription, wasn't prone to updates, pay walls etc. This ticks all my boxes. You can turn on, adjust or turn off the heating remotely, it knows when you are out and won't heat an empty home, it also knows when your getting closer to home to then put the heating on, love it. App is easy to use. One thing to mention, get hive to install it as they are the cheapest, contacted a few other heating installers who quoted a lot more

Brilliant - we had it fitted and it was worth it. We tried and was a full on headache so professional fitting was the game changer. We use the free plan and love it. The app is user friendly and straightforward. I would tho recommend a strong internet connection as it takes quite a bit of it via the hub.

I moved into a New Build a few years ago and the house came with a simple Thermostat so one of my first decisions was to replace it with a new Hive heating system. I decided to install this myself, and what it revealed was that my existing thermostat was installed incorrectly. Although the installation was a little fiddly for someone with large fingers, I got it done in the end, and now I have a smart thermostat that is easy to set up, easy to control from anywhere on planet earth, and integrates with my Apple Home system which is an important part of my smart home. Hive is easy to use, and makes it really easy to boost heating - sometimes it helps for complicated technology to be simple. Hive looks great on your wall, and is solid meaning it should last a long time.

Hive is very easy to install as long as you're comfortable doing the basics with electrics. I had it all installed and up and running in a couple of hours. The thermostat is very good and gives more control than the basic wireless device I had fitted previously. It benefits from having new Hive TRVs fitted to the radiators and these aren't cheap. Although I did get a decent deal on the number I needed and so they have been added too. I can now control the heat in individual rooms. Some that we don't use can be left relatively cold compared to the rooms we actually use in the house on a regular basis. The Hive app is pretty good (I updated to the Beta version which does have the odd glitch, but nothing to write home about). An added advantage though is the ability to link this to Alexa and have voice control over thermostat and room temperatures. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the system and I'm hoping that I'll have more say in my heating bills going forward.
