Review: Software not working - I found some software on github that works. The storage that comes with it is national instruments LabVIEW but made into an executable. I’ve done a lot of labview for work awhile back. I couldn’t get the step functions working in a way that wasn’t a pain. It work save it. I can’t edit the file easily. It gives me this error so it’ll take you hours to actually make useful step functions. I need this to work for engineering test. I also downloaded the latest NI runtime files. Still didn’t work. So then I found some open source software someone made on github. Please send that guy a coffee if you download it. Works great. Other than the software the power supply is amazing. It is noisey but I work in a lab don’t care. It is heavy also. Very heavy. Nice small size compared to my other power supplies. I just can’t give. A good review when I only bought it for the software use. I don’t have time to write my own code.

**Q: Is this the "fixed" model? The one EEVblog tested in July failed, but apparently Korad has made improvements.  See http://www.eevblog.com/forum/blog/eevblog-404-korad-psu-followup/**
A: I ordered on Oct. 5, 2020.  Mine appears to be another revision.  The power board has one large cap, but newer transistors with a different layout and with surface mount components.  The interface board appears to be another revision too.  Both boards appear different than the original board and the revision shown on EEVBlog.  Have yet to test this, though.

**Q: it comes with the wires?**
A: Yes it comes with hookup adapters banana plug to alligator clips and the power cord.

**Q: Does this supply have programmable current limiting?  Can you, for example, set a limit of 500mA?**
A: It isn't really programmable by my definition, but it has a manual control that allows the course/fine limiting of current.  (The knob on the right)    It is also a push to hold your settings button.

**Q: Does anyone know how to put this into constant current mode?  I don't know if I'll ever actually use it this way but I am curious to see if it works.**
A: Set what you want for the current. Then set your voltage 3 volts higher than what you require. It should go into constant current mode. If not, slowly increase the voltage until you go into constant current mode. The light next to CC should be lit.

I found some software on github that works. The storage that comes with it is national instruments LabVIEW but made into an executable. I’ve done a lot of labview for work awhile back. I couldn’t get the step functions working in a way that wasn’t a pain. It work save it. I can’t edit the file easily. It gives me this error so it’ll take you hours to actually make useful step functions. I need this to work for engineering test. I also downloaded the latest NI runtime files. Still didn’t work. So then I found some open source software someone made on github. Please send that guy a coffee if you download it. Works great. Other than the software the power supply is amazing. I do not want to go on a rant about this power supply. It simply does not provide the power when under load. The voltage sags and drops dramatically. If I set the output to 12.8V at 5 amps, I expect it to give me that voltage. What I get is 7.7V under load, and I get under voltage alarms from the devices I am testing. Even when I increase the voltage, it sags. No good to me. It is going back.
