Plug and play. Helps knowing which gear you are on. Four start because the shifting is slightly delayed but works fine.

Works perfect on my 2009 CBR1000RR. I initially removed the left fairing thinking the ecu was behind it. However, it is not and I believe that is on the previous generation. For the 2009 you will need to remove the seat. There is a very very small delay between when you shift and when it actually displays the next gear, but that’s expected with anything aftermarket that is this cheap.

Used on my Rebel 300, 2017. No complaints, easy to install and program if you have a motocycle stand. Great when you need to know if your in 1st gear. Everything else is legit with bright display. Can't beat an upgrade to a bike that has no RPM indicator nor the gear indicator from factory. Thank you and ride safe!
