Like good-quality silver cleaning and polishing cloths, these Goddard's cloths leave an imperceptible anti-tarnish trace behind, and that works very well. For reference, i tend to use the cream to bring out the beauty of my new, and especially older pieces and the cloths as a quick touchup.
