Traxxas 90T 48P Spur Gear - Well made and does the job - Fun!
This Traxxas spur gear continues to withstand the punishment our son gives it. It is a typical good quality Traxxas part and it is easy to install. Run with a 21t pinion provides a rear wheel gear ratio of about 11.66:1, so the car accelerates insanely while having no top-end speed whatsoever. Actually -- we now have what seem to be semi-permanent burnout donut marks on the surface of our sealed-concrete garage floor... it looks like a miniature Kyle Bush hopped in the Bandit and celebrated a Nascar win in there. The torque provided by that spur/pinion combo is crazy! If you are thinking about getting into r/c cars, the Bandit is an A+ ride ( Traxxas RTR 1/10 Bandit Extreme Sports with Water Proof XL-5 RTR and 7 Cell Battery with Charger ) for its price! The availability of replacement parts for the Bandit, like this gear, greatly exceeded our expectations. These Traxxas cars and parts have been, and continue to be, an outstanding learning experience for our son and that has been a blast to watch evolve. If you need a spur gear like this, or even if you just want to have one as a spare in your tool box, you will not be sorry that you did. Shipping was fast too. Go for it and have fun!

great replacement
These are the traxxas made gears for your traxxas trucks. If you strip one like I did (thanks to whoever put mine together and over tightend the clucth at the factory) you are going to need ot have one to carry on. Unfortunatly this being my first go with a hobby class truck after this gear stripped off. I put in the high speed pinion that came with my truck (because it would move with it installed) and went out and burnt out my motor doing some very impressive spins in the gravel. So I had to find a new motor too. I am learning that there is allot more to the hobby class truck than I thought, and now I have a couple extra of these gears on hand so I can change them out quickly, just in case something gets up in the truck somewhere and I strip out another one.

no problems
I bought this 90t spur gear for my bandit because it is what Castle Creations recommended for gearing for the sv2/5700kv with a 12-15t pinion. I use this 90t spur and a 22t pinion for my bandit and it is awesome! Good gear mesh is critical for long life and I have never stripped a Traxxas spur. To use this spur with a 26t pinion you will have to enlongate the motor mounting holes back about 1/16"-1/8" otherwise it won't fit.

Good price
With these add-on items you have to have another order going. I don't like that since I pay for Prime but just get a bunch of them at once. They are pretty cheap. (in my opinion a good deal) It is nice to have enough gears to get many different combinations. These burn out at times. (strip off all of the teeth a little bit) Go to 32P gearing if you have trouble with 48P. I did that and am happy with it. (little more noise, nothing major)

Pro-tip: Proper Gear Mesh and Vibra-Tite!
This is the OEM part for the Traxxas 2wd Stampede/Monster Trucks. You'll likely need it because new Traxxas RC's are leaving the factory with barely tightened motor screws. After minor bashing the motor is coming loose and grinding down the spurs on the gear. Now that you've learned the hard way, when you replace the gear using the correct notebook (thin) paper method to setting gear mesh, (see Traxxas YouTube video) you'll want to Vibra-Tite the motor screws. These spur gears will last a long time if the proper gear mesh is maintained.
