Q: Contrary to the carton label, "no user manual" included nor could be seen on the internet. where is it?

I can’t recall whether I received a user manual but in use a single press on the on button will illuminate the main beam, another will dim the light, a third will strobe. Holding the button for 2 seconds will switch it off. “Stretching” the torch body will vary the focus between wide and narrow beam. Two rapid presses will illuminate the side light, a second will dim it, a third will turn it red, a fourth will give a red strobe. Two presses will return to the bright side light and holding the button for two seconds will again turn it off. Hope that helps.

Q: Can you use normal non rechargeable batteries, it came with plastic housing but no info ?

No, you can't. The flash light comming with bigger battery 26650. The plastic housing is for smaller rechargable battery 18650 model.
