Caldwell Deadshot Shooting Rest with Front and Rear Rests, Water Resistant, for Range, Shooting, and Hunting

I love this rest. It has become my primary rest. I cracked a stock on my.375 Ruger using a sled that has a solid but plate. I now use, and prefer, the Tack Driver with a Caldwell butstock support. The ears really hold the forstock nicely. It’s also a lot more versatile and transportable than a sled. Well worth the money in my opinion.

These bags are great! If you’re looking for a solid shooting rest without breaking the bank these Caldwell bags are the way to go. They are filled very well, the material is very sturdy, with a nice soft material on the bag where your barrel rests. They work very well for multiple firearms, and they are a great size to be able to pack and take around with you if necessary.

Love the Caldwell brand. Everything is high quality. The black fabric leather on these is very nice. They are properly filled with quality filling and are heavy and stay in place when shooting a high caliber rifle.

I really like this bag set . It’s sturdy and my rifles sit in it nicely. It’s also very lightweight. Plus it comes prefilled. That is a plus . No more old homemade sand bags . Price is very reasonable as well.

The Theory of Unexpected Consequences after reading many reviews of this rest I decided to order the unfilled bags and fill them myself when they arrived . Many different types of material ,were listed in reviews, to fill these bags with . I decided upon kitty litter and purchased 2- 10 lb. bags at Walmart of the cheapest clay based litter they carried . It was $1.30 a bag. Very inexpensive . Used an extra funnel we had on hand to fill them . Took about 30 min to completely fill them. I would pour in the kitty litter until it reached the top, then gently tap the bag on the concrete until it settled in the bag. repeated this until it wouldn't settle any more and the bag was full. in the end there was about 2-3 inches of kitty litter remaining in the second bag, which I gave to a neighbor that has a cat. Took the bags to the range and they work perfectly. They don't move around, they stay put on the bench, and they provide a very solid rest for my rifle. The quality on these is excellent and I expect them to last for years and years. The problem is now I have an extra 20 lbs. to carry out to the firing line every tine I go shooting. I thought about getting a cart as I have seen these before at the range. But I'm not really a cart type of guy , so I got a large range bag to carry it all. Caldwell makes an excellent product of good quality material and I highly recommend them. Just be careful of the material you decide upon to fill them with because of the extra weight you will have to carry around.

Does what it should. Comes pre-filled which is nice. People complain about the seams but mine hold up nicely. Mind you, I never rest my rifles' barrel on it so the concussion is kept at a distance when shooting.

I’ve had this gun rest a couple of days and I’ve already taken 3 pigeons with this rest it makes your shot really stable and helps you hit further targets due to its sturdiness. It’s quite a beefy unit but well worth it.
