Recomended!!! ### ⭐⭐ First one was defective; also not much better than non-plan. *by C***K on September 15, 2025* The first one of these I ordered came defective - it was off-center, requiring repositioning the slide when switching from lower mag lenses. Also after replacing it with a new one it was not significantly sharper than the non-plan. Still had a f***ton of chromatic aberration near the edges when using the calibration slide. And honestly at 60x who really cares about supposed sharpness all the way to the edge - once you are at 60x you are pretty much focused on what's at the center. Regardless, the non-plan from amscope was almost half the price and was just as good for non-lab use, which let's be honest anyone spending this kind of money on a lens is definitely not in a lab. For hobbyist or non-professional biological/medical use, save yourself the money and go with the standard lens. But be advised as I said I had to go through two of these before I found one that wasn't defective, so don't assume that the first one you get is representative of this model in general. I would strongly recommend ordering two and then keeping the better of the two.
