Nickel is ferromagnetic. Why do people upvote reviews showing the product being magnetic as a bad thing? Please do some basic research

The 0.15x6x50 mm stipulates on the Amazon advertisement that it's a pack of FIFTY (50) PIECES. So if the price is $ 8.99 divided by $ 0.18 cents each = 50 pieces of nickel strip. Please note that different packs are 100 pieces as stipulated. Mark S. I hope my answer helps you. Thanks

Total newbie here, so apologies, but can these be used to safely and reliably solder lion cells in parallel?

I used them to solder lion cells in series and they are fine for that. You need acid solder flux, need to clean it off thoroughly, and AVOID SHORTING the positive terminal to the case of the battery or you may have an exploded battery. I do not know offhand if lion cells can be reliably connected in parallel.

can I spot weld these to an 18650 lithium ion battery and then solder to the tab? what is the best way to do this? solder to tab first?

Sure, either way is fine. also, if you use an acid flux, and are quick, you can solder directly by pre-tinning the nickel strip, clean the battery end, flux on both, then just quickly solder it. good idea to carefully rinse off the acid flux.

I am using this to connect 14s 125a 12700 cells that are pulling 240 amps or more on rc aircraft. I did double up the tabs. They weld up perfectly and stay barely warm. Good stuff!
