Start with some simple kits like Metal Earth music instruments and work your way up. I had to buy some tools to do Notre Dame. Some of the parts are tiny. I use a lighted magnifying glass and it is a MUST for me. Knipex needle nose pliers 35 21 115 works well for me. This model is stunning! It is small and compact. You must have the patience of a saint, but it is worth it. Precision is a MUST if you want the finished model to look great. Just finished La Sagrada Familia and it was difficult. There are 18 steeples that are mostly 3 parts and you need some tapered tools to roll them to the correct shape.
