Comfortable for daytime use
Pros:- Nice soft plastic so comfortable to wear; long tubing allowing reasonable degree of mobility; Green colour makes it easier to find Cons:- The cannulas are shorter than others I’ve tried so fall out more easily; There is no tab to make it harder for the tubing to turn and fall out or to fix micropore tape to to fix in place Because the cannula repeatedly fell out overnight I have discontinued using this item even though it was more comfortable than the one I’m currently using

My mom has tried a lot of oxygen supplies. She says these are actually truly ultra soft as stated and has requested we only buy these from now on! So these are the winners!

Wow, expected on 11/26, as you can see by this review I received it earlier. I actually received it two or three days ago. Love the cannulas, well if one could love a cannula. Not a fan of having to wear them. I'd been using Salton or similar name, cannulas from the medical supply company which were covered by insurance. They irritated my nose, made it burn all the way inside it. So I decided to try a different brand and get soft ones. I'd also tried soft ones from the medical supply company. These are over and above softer and more comfortable. But even if they weren't, no awful smell and no irritation in my nose. I am probably going to have to go to a mask because I am a mouth breather but if you use a cannula I cannot recommend them more highly. I will always have these on hand. I will pay for them over getting the others free to be able to be comfortable. And the cost is minimal. Get the five pack and see for yourself. That's what I did. I'm from Missouri and yes, true to form, I'm a Show Me kinda gal. They did

Dislike: When you first open the package the cannula has an overwhelming smell of new plastic. I was able to git rid of most of the smell by putting some dish soap in the tube and flushing it out with warm water. This left a pleasant smell of the soap for a few hours and after a few hours of use both the soap and plastic smell was all but gone. You might try alcohol, 70 or 99% but don't know how that would affect the product. Like/Love: The tube that goes across face and nose is so soft it hardly feels like it is there. I wear glasses and it gives less pressure around ears and glass frames. Sleeping it gives very little pressure on cheek. Diameter of feed tube from tank is smaller than most so it is less bulky. Caution. The soft tube seems to flatten out under where the glass frame presses on it but does not seem to affect flow. I notice many people complain the smell causes headaches or other symptoms. I suspect this product contains latex so might check that out. So I love the product.

These are WONDERFUL! Very soft, especially the upper area where it splits and goes up to the in-nose area. I’m on oxygen 24/7, so one is in constant use. It still was just over two and a half (2 & 1/2) weeks before it began to harden up. Very good “life” on it, 19+ days, compared to the 7-9 days I’ve gotten from those supplied by Medicare provider. AND, much much much more comfortable to use! There is a slight “new car” smell to them, I’ve find oubd it goes away in about 8 hours of use. I will **definitely** be buying these again — even though I could be getting lesser ones free thru Medicare. Definitely worth the cost!! Update: I’ve now re-purchased these several times. They are still THE ONLY cannulas I buy, intentionally the only ones. Cuz there certainly are many other choices. My only caveat is a minor preference... I take them out of their plastic baggie A day or two before changing to a new one — in order to give them time to lose that “new plastic” smell. If I forget, & can’t stand to use the old one even one more day, it’s still not too obnoxious to use one fresh out of its baggie. As I said, it’s just a minor personal preference. Update, after years of use. I’m not going to speculate ‘Why’ it’s happened, however the same defect has shown up in three (3) of the last ten (10) cannula I’ve purchased. The tubing is mistakenly coming out of the connection piece where the left and/or right sides (from the nose) goes into that ‘Y’, on it’s way heading back to the air supply. Meaning it is carrying no oxygen to the nose. ‘Can’t glue it back in there, and it won’t stay there by itself. In _years of using these soft, durable, sublime cannula (given the issues of soooo much plastics waste), these are my first complaints of any sort. Yes I love this cannula brand. Not much of living with various disabling illnesses are as soft and comfortable, gotta enjoy & praise what is, lol.
