I have gone through 3+ full-size tubes of the stuff now so I’ve had plenty of experience with it to give it a full review. Context: I have very dry and sensitive skin that is prone to irritation, buildup, and texture/dullness. I found the product through the EWG Skin Deep database to develop a low-tox, personalized, and minimal skincare routine for myself. First: what does this product look and feel like? Kora’s shipping has always been careful with protective paper around the boxes inside the package to prevent damage in transit. Once the box is opened, the product comes in a beautiful gold-toned squeeze tube with a twist-off cap. The latest update to the packaging felt like there was even more product fitted in it than before. The tube releases the product quickly and easily and can stand on its cap as well adding storage options. It fits in a 9-inch long acrylic drawer organizer with room to spare for other products. It does add a feeling of elevation to the process of use and can bring enjoyment to look at. Second: how does the product work? The product has a creamy/pasty texture. The micro-grains are not bunched together to feel more like a scrub than a mask. It glides on easily and blends well. It works best with very small amounts to allow maximum absorption as opposed to excess just sitting on the face. While the instructions say to leave it on for 10 mins or so, I have found that I can leave it on for far longer, even on my sensitive skin, to get a really deep cleanse. (Test it for yourself first please: I am not an expert). I use it twice a week or so. It is quite messy in removal especially as it gets dry: doing so in the shower or with paper towels ready would be best (it will stain cloth). It causes some temporary redness as blood flow increases and does also cause slight tingling. but leaves a lovely cooling sensation behind along with a great scent. The scrub during removal feels gentle, but quite thorough. Thirdly: what are the results? The redness described above stays with me overnight but, the next morning, the smoothness, clearness, and glow I get are remarkable. My mom’s far more mature and damaged skin also saw significant improvement in texture and brightness. Combined with at-home dermaplaning, it helps my skin stay very low maintenance throughout the week and keeps it needing minimal prep for even light-coverage makeup. Conclusion: this mask is a staple in my routine to where I even have the mini size on hand if I have to travel. It has helped me transform my once dull, textured skin to a much smoother and brighter face that needs less fussing and maintenance. Pairing it with other products and treatments yield even more results and it is a joy to use because of its aromatic finish and luxurious packaging. Can’t recommend enough. If you are looking for a EWG Verified routine with a bit more of a budget, this product may be a great addition for you. I also recommend the Turmeric Cleanser and products from Sonage and Humanrace. I was so excited to try this brand out, specifically this product. I happened to see Miranda on a podcast and she mentioned this product. She swears by it, and turmeric is known to work well for skin discoloration and evening skin tone. If you have sensitive skin be mindful when using this. It can see it being a little strong/reactive for someone with sensitive skin. I do not have sensitive skin, but it did feel a little tingly and my face did get a little flushed. Also, be careful if you choose to use it as a scrub, because if you're not mindful it could be somewhat harsh. I used it as both a scrub and a mask. I have had this product for some time now and I tried to use it 1-2 per wk. I didn't really notice any difference in my skin tone. Maybe my skin was softer? There is nothing I can really pinpoint to say this made a difference, so I wouldn't repurchase it. I purchased the smaller version and at 1oz it is quite small, but I can say a little goes a long way, so it should last. Update: I changed my review to 5 stars and must say I actually do notice a difference in my skin. I do not use it weekly, more so on a bi weekly to monthly basis. After further observation, I realize this actually leaves my skin radiant. I bought this in January, and I’m still using it as of August. A little definitely goes a long way. This is one of the better turmeric products, so I plan to repurchase this again.

This is a good exfoliant even for sensitive skin. I have some sensitive skin areas on my face and this product does not irritate while also making my face feel nice and smooth. Warning it does make my face red but that’s just because you’re supposed to leave the product on your face then scrub to get it off but it returns to normal after a couple of minutes. Would definitely recommend

I bit the bullet & spent the $$ and was not mad about it. This exfoliate is mighty! It’s is just abrasive enough to make my skin smooth. I am super particular when it comes to scents. This has a light sweet tumeric smell. Bonus: Use as a mask for a tingly refreshing feeling. I will keep buying ! Load up on multiple quantities when it’s on Prime Day sale.

Love this product and can’t wait to buy it again. My skin doesn’t react poorly to this.

Product is only few months away from expiry and outer packing is all broken …..not satisfactory
