I hear something wiggling inside the bag. I live in an apartment; if there are worm in the bag I want nothing to do with them. What should I do?

I didn't have any worms but my garden loved the castings. Wish I could get a truckload of that stuff. If there is a worm I imagine it will die in the plastic bag.

What is the N-P-K rating?

I am assuming you are new to growing ,N-P-K rating is for fertilizer. Earth worm castings is NOT a fertilizer. Its a soil amendment. Earth worm castings help get the micro biology going in your dirt. Which breaks down your nutrients(N-P-K), which makes it easier for your plant to absorb its food. Is there any shelf-life? How long can it stay "good" without use? I plan to use around my tree seedlings and some grown trees and shrubs.

I don't see an "expiration date" on the bag, but there is moisture inside...which accounts for the weight of the bag that probably keeps the microbes alive for much longer than 3 months if you keep it in a cool, dark place (say garage). Once the bag is opened and it dries, it becomes significantly lighter. Since it is so expensive I would not waste it on grown trees and shrubs and instead use it only on the seedlings, young perennials and annuals in flower beds. Cheaper compost would suffice as a top dressing for your trees and shrubs. I mix mine as a component in my germination mixes and it does not seem to degrade in quality even after a year for that purpose. I will never garden without this stuff again.

One of the best things for garden and lawn is to go to a local farmer and buy raw milk. Let it sit in the container out of the fridge for a couple days. Then sprinkle/spray it on. You can water it down a bit to have it go further. It is full of enzymes and all plants LOVE it!

Very nice worm casting, fine screened with little clumps. The plants does adore it , loaded with good nitrogen and more. i would recommend .

I read this past winter to use worm casings when planting new garden plants. Mix the worm casings with some powdered egg shells, a dash of used coffee grounds, and some compost when transplanting new plants. Well, I did this 3 weeks ago and I already have tomatoes on my plants that are still only 10 to 12 inches high. Also have been adding water to make a casing tea and apply that once a week. All is good! Really looking forward to this year's garden produce.

I like the worm casting for my garden every year. The nutrients are great, I can tell by how well my vegtables do. It helps with moisture retention. The appearance of my vegtables are really enhanced. I order this every year. I add it to the base of my plants througout the summer growing season.
