Worth it.
Basically feels as smooth as traditional razor blades. May leave a few hairs after multiple passes so not perfect like a razor but gosh, the ease of use, able to shave dry, quickly too. Hands down best shave experience I ever had.

Great razor!
I love this new razor. It works great. Clean, smooth shave. The one-button release to clean the heads is a winner. I don't use the charging stand because I keep my razor in a drawer, so the digital view of how much power is left in the battery is very helpful. Highly recommend!

The Pleasure of a Morning Shave
I actually look forward to using this shaver each morning. It has a sleek design, floating blades, and provides a close and comfortable shave. The automatic cleaning function makes it a breeze to maintain.

Great shave, but a little bulky
I bought this after trying (and hating) the Panasonic ARC5 that so many people rave about. This razor blows the ARC5 out of the water, delivering a very close shave with minimal effort. I was particularly impressed by how close the shave was on my neck, with minimal irritation after I gave my skin time to adjust to it. The GroomTribe app is neat at first but isn't particularly necessary (and it feels very dystopian to have to connect my razor to Bluetooth) and I've recently stopped using it. I like the LED pressure indicators and feel that while I've never had problems before, my shaving technique has definitely improved since buying this razor. Cleaning the razor is easy with the provided cleaning station, and refills of the cleaning solution are not too expensive.I rated this razor 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a little bulkier than any other razor I've had, making it slightly awkward to hold. Additionally, the width of the shaving head makes it difficult to get a good shave above my lip without hitting my nose. And I've found that the attached trimmer is not as effective as on previous Norelco models, so I tend not to use it. But all in all I think this razor and all of its features are worth the money.

My parents gave me this
I normally don't use these electric shavers due to irritation. This one changes things. Excellent close shave, no irritation. The only downside is the price. Then comes the fact , you get what you pay for. Best electric I've ever owned. I've had a bunch but never liked them. I guess there is an exception for everything. If you can break the lock off your wallet, then this is a good reason to.

Smooth as a newborn's backside. Big emprovement from the older shavers. RECOMMENDED
I have never owned an electric razor prior. I did try one when I was 20 years old, but it was uncomfortable. It burned. I have been old school for 53 years. Foam and razor. Wish I had one of these all those years, just think of the time I would have saved. I bought one for my 20 year old son first to see what results I could expect. I put it in his bathroom and did not say a word about it. As it turns out he started using it right away, according to the wife he was a smooth as can be. Well I love mine, smooth, fast shave, no burn, no nicks, no stubble. I have a beard that is the equivalent of heavy steel wool.Pros:One charge lasts all week.No razor burnSmooth without cutting myselfCheaper in the long run that packaged razorsPop it open and rinse it under the faucet.Cons:I did not get this sooner.Best shave I have had in years.Important safety tip: Over time the blades seem to act like they are not sharp, suggesting replacement. Before you get new blades try this TIP: Remove the three blade assemblies and using a plastic tub with warm water water and some Dawn or other dish detergent drop them in and let them soak overnight. You may be shocked to see what comes out. Dry them by letting them sit out on a paper towel, put them back in and you will be surprised. The will now feel and cut like new. Get another set of blades, and swap them out keeping each group separate.

Close shave, great cleaning system
Quick shipment. This is by far the best shaver I've ever owned. I love the cleaning system on it and it has a very close shave. I took it on a 14 day vacation and I didn't need to recharge.

Impressive Shave
I upgraded to this S9800 model from the S7700 series shaver. The designs are very similar in terms of ergonomics, but I think the shave head surface is a little different between the two with the 9800 providing less resistance when gliding over the skin. I was interested in upgrading to get the pressure sensor feature. And I have had 2 of the 7700 series shavers where the Sense IQ feature stopped working. Both were replaced with new units under warranty. But after the 2nd one failed, I decided to upgrade. Glad I did.I have read some reviews that noted the pressure sensor and light ring are just a gimmick. It lights up in 3 colors indicating too little pressure (blue light), good pressure (green light) and too much pressure (orange light). My first shave wasn't all that close as I was trying to keep the light ring green. HOWEVER, I found in the companion app the ability to customize the pressure sensor for the type of shave you do (dry or wet) and if you use shaving cream or not and how close of a shave you want (standard, close, closest). When I set it up for the closest wet shave with shave gel, it definitely changed the pressure necessary to get the green light to come on. My shave today was perfect. Closest shave I think I have ever had, even on my neck which is usually a trouble spot for me. So, definitely NOT a gimmick. It works as advertised. In addition, through the app, you can adjust the colors used if you are color blind so you can tell the difference between the pressures and what it is trying to tell you.I am not aware of any ability to change this pressure setting using just the menus/display on the handle. So if you aren't using the companion app, try that out. It makes a difference. I know you can turn the light ring on or off using the menus, but not sure about pressure setting.Got the shaver here on Amazon for a great price when compared to what Philips sells them for on their website.
