However, it's been years since I've had a taco in a hard shell, and I decided to take the risk and pick up a box to see if things had changed. Honestly, I was very happy with my purchase. The shells tasted fresh with a good corn flavor. These were supposed to be bold nacho cheese flavor, and even the packaging says its cheesier than before, but if it were, it was kind of lost in my mix of seasoned ground beef, cheddar and Oaxaca cheeses, fresh salsa, lettuce and hot sauce. Would I get them again, yes because the cheese flavored shell wasn't important to me as much as they were the stand and stuff variety (which worked perfectly). Also, despite a fatty meat filling and pre-melted cheese, my shells stayed solid and didn't fall apart under moisture.
