Organic Bread of Heaven ~ Rustic Sourdough Bread - 2 loaves ~ USDA Organic

OMG! I love this bread! It's perfect, just what I was looking for. Allergies rule my world these days; I've had to make serious dietary changes due to an "aspergillus" allergy; nuts, beans, grains, etc. This bread is "okay'd" for my dietary restrictions; it is delicious toasted, and I add a little "caraway seed" on top of mine. This bread is the perfect evening snack with coffee or tea. I know two things, I'll be back for more, and I love it! Thank Organic Bread of Heaven.

I received my loaves yesterday and I am white pleased. The bread is soft and flavorful and tastes homemade and fresh. It’s hard to find sprouted ancient whole grain sourdough bread in stores so I was very happy to find this. Will definitely be purchasing again!

Good sourdough bread. It is hearty with a mild flavor. I especially like what is not in the bread (i.e. chemicals, soy, etc.). It was a little dryer than some breads, but I attribute that to the fact that FedEx did not deliver it in a timely manner.

I recently moved to south central Indiana from the west coast. Myself, my brother, and both of my parents all have the same “wheat issue.” We are not gluten intolerant (though mostly eat gluten free because it’s easier) but cannot tolerate regular, modern wheat. But spelt sits right with all of us! Anyways, I cannot find spelt products in the place I’m now living, and have not refined my spelt bread baking to the point of having a reliable loaf to make. And I just started law school, so I really don’t have time to be playing with baking when I hardly have time to heat up my pre-prepped meals and eat 😂 I ordered this bread, while very pricey, thinking it would be a one time thing for convenience the first few weeks of school. Well, one loaf has lasted me about 3 weeks, and I’m about to pull the second from the freezer. My toaster is a POC but this makes a nice piece of toast w/ butter/PB/avocado. I loveeee that it is naturally cultured and has no yeast though I do wish it tasted a bit more sour. Long story short, this bread is pricey, but for my circumstances I think it will be worth buying on a semi-regular basis to have a healthy, convenient option. I am hoping that if I order 4 loaves next time, shipping will be a little less than 2 orders. Okay, my first review hasn’t even been approved yet, but I have to update it. After writing this, I decided to look up the bakery, thinking it might be a little cheaper to order through them directly. IT IS! And I found out, they’re an Indiana company! Sadly, not within a distance justifiable to pick up bread for me. BUT not only is the bread and 1-day shipping cheaper through them, they also have 100% spelt buns! I will definitely be ordering through them when I run out. So excited by this :)

Just tried the wheat sourdough and it’s really good! It’s a heartier, more rustic bread for sure so toasting it is the way to go. You cannot beat the ingredients they use! I can’t even find ingredients this pristine in so-called health food stores.

I am an avid sour dough lover and I was very disappointed in these loaves. The bread is very dry and no taste. Not even the little tang tast you get from sourdough. I've tried toasting and microwaving. No improvement. It does make a good grilled cheese sandwich for dipping in soup! Im sorry but I won't be ordering again.

It takes a week to be shipped, through Amazon, which isn't good but the bread is good. I found that I can order straight from their site and select 2 day shipping and the total cost, bread plus shipping, is only a buck or two more than amazon one week shipping. 2 days, or is it 3? shipping instead of 7, so much more fresh for a very small amount more. The bread is small but very good.
